Hey crafty friends! There is something so fun about creating a colorful tropical card. This little toucan and bright beach scene instantly put me in a summer mood. The June 2026 La-La Land Crafts Kit of the Month includes everything needed to bring those tropical cardmaking dreams to life.
Card Details
I began this handmade card with tropical background paper from the Summer Vacation Paper Pack. The colorful beach scene created an instant backdrop without extra ink blending. Next, I combined it with the Wood Textures 1 Paper Pack. The woodgrain panels frame the tropical scene like a sunny vacation postcard. I cut the Stitched Ribbon Die from black cardstock. These narrow borders separate the patterned papers and give the design a clean, finished look.
Then, I die cut the greenery using the Tropical Leaves Frame Die from the kit. I also added a hibiscus from the Tropical Flowers Die. The Sun and Clouds Die helped complete my bright tropical scene. I colored every die cut with Copic markers to add shading, depth, and dimension.
Finally, I stamped the toucan from the Toucan Do It Clear Stamp Set. After coloring him with Copic markers, I placed him front and center. This colorful little bird definitely understood the tropical assignment! I added the sentiment using the Scalloped Sentiment Labels Die.
