Hi crafty friends! Seaside Marci is ready for a day at the beach, even if the background has a little nighttime drama. I created her colorful ocean scene using new stamps, dies, and paper from the La-La Land Crafts Summer Release.
Card Details
I began this handmade beach card with the gorgeous Summer Mix Paper Pack in mind. Its bold tropical print instantly set the mood for my nighttime scene. I trimmed the paper by 1/8 inch on each side. Then, I adhered it to an A2 white card base.
Next, I stamped Seaside Marci and the adorable hermit crab from the Sea Ya Later Clear Stamp. I colored both images with Copic markers. I also added bright highlights and tiny dot details for extra texture.
Once the coloring was complete, I began building my seaside scene. The Tall Waves Die adds a bold ocean curl behind Marci. I cut the Flying Birds Die from yellow cardstock for a sunny pop against the dark background.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment and added it to a label cut with the Scalloped Sentiment Labels Die. The changing tide sentiment felt perfect for this thoughtful, handmade card. Plus, that tiny hermit crab may be small, but he clearly came ready to steal the show!
