There’s something extra cozy about books, cute critters, and a comfy spot to curl up and read. This card combines all three, so naturally, it was such a fun little scene to put together!

Card Details
I started this handmade reading-themed card by choosing patterned paper from the Summer Mix Paper Pack. The soft pink and navy combination gave me the perfect starting point for the scene.
Next, I colored Bookish Marci and the sweet kitty from the Reading Buddies Clear Stamp. For the background, I layered the Open Book with Spines Die, cut from cardstock, and then created a large framed area for my scene. I die-cut the word READ and added the Bookshelf Elements above it.
I tucked Marci into the opposite side of the card with her book and added the kitty lounging in the Pet Bed below. Apparently, everyone has their favorite reading spot.
I finished the card with the sweet sentiment, Every story is better with you by my side.
