There is something extra cute about turning cardmaking supplies into something useful. These colorful reading-themed bookmarks were a fun change from a traditional card.

Bookmark Details
I started by die-cutting heavy white cardstock with the Bookmark Die to create a sturdy base. I cut the At the Carnival patterned paper with the same die and layered it on top. Next, I cut the scalloped frame layer from mustard yellow cardstock using the largest Scalloped Rectangle Die (retired). I trimmed the die cut into smaller sections and tucked them behind the patterned paper layer. So that only the scalloped edge peeks out around the opening. The bright border helps the patterned paper stand out.
I colored the stamped images, then arranged the characters, books, lamp, plant, and reading-themed die cuts onto the front of my bookmarks. Lastly, I finished them with gold flecked jute twine threaded through the opening as a simple looped tassel.
