Hey crafty friends! I am fully in summer-card mode right now, and these tropical colors make me so happy. There is just something about bright flowers, beach scenes, and cute critters that feels like a crafty vacation. Today, I am sharing two handmade cards featuring the La-La Land Crafts June 2026 Kit of the Month, and this kit is packed with tropical cardmaking inspiration.
Card Details
For my first card, I created a sweet sunny scene using the Summer Vacation Paper Pack for the background. I added the sentiment with die-cut from the Beach Sign Die, which was perfect for that light and breezy message. From the June KOTM, I used the Simply Be Marci Rubber Stamp, Tropical Leaves Frame Die, and Tropical Flowers Die. I colored all of the die-cuts with markers to create more depth, dimension, and contrast. The layered leaves and bright flowers really frame Marci and give the card that warm tropical feel.

Card Details
For my second card, I built a fun tropical beach scene with the toucans. I used the Summer Vacation Paper Pack, Wood Textures 1 Paper Pack, Beach Sign Die, Tiki Frame Builder Die, Fern Leaf Die, Spring Blossoms Small Die, and Rounded Grass Patches Die. I colored all of the images and die-cuts using my markers, then layered the flowers and greenery around the scene. Those toucans are so cute, and the punny sentiment makes this card feel extra fun.
