Hey crafty friends! Today I’m sharing two butterfly cards featuring products from the new Creative Medley release from Brass & Bliss Craft Co. This release is full of beautiful dies and stamps that are perfect for creating soft, layered, and thoughtful handmade cards. And honestly, you can never go wrong with butterflies, pretty greenery, and a sweet sentiment.
For these cards, I used the Rectangle Combo #6 Die to create the layered scalloped frame background. I love how this die adds so much detail without making the card feel too busy. Next, I die-cut several butterflies using the Simply Fluttering Die. I used a mix of soft coral, teal, white, gray, and black cardstock to create two slightly different looks.
Card Details
For the first card, I went with a darker gray background and added peach and white butterflies for contrast. And, for the second card, I used a lighter neutral background with brighter pops of coral and teal butterflies.
To add a little extra detail and movement, I tucked in greenery using the Spring Greenery #4 Die. It is such a simple detail, but it really helps bring the whole card together.
For the sentiments on both cards, I used different sentiments from the Mother’s Day Stamp set stamped in the center of the card.
I love how these two cards use the same basic layout and products but have completely different looks just by changing the cardstock colors.
