Hey crafty friends! You know those cards that make you smile the whole time you’re creating them? Yeah, these were definitely those kinds of cards. Now, I’ll be honest, I’m not exactly a fan of lizards (they usually send me running the other way), but these little guys are just too cute not to love. They actually had me smiling from start to finish while creating.
Today, I’m sharing my first two cards featuring Marci and her reptilian friends from the April 2026 KOTM by La-La Land Crafts.

Card Details
For my first card, I started by choosing a background from the Mushrooms Paper Pack and trimming it down to 6″ x 4″. Next, I worked on building out the scene. I used the Curved Log Die, the Leafy Plant Die from the kit, and the Mushrooms Die to create this forest scene.
I colored all of the images and die-cut elements with Copic markers, using the following color combinations.

Copic Markers

Once all the pieces were ready, I arranged everything on the card front and adhered it all down with liquid adhesive. To finish it off, I used the Scalloped Sentiment Labels Die to die-cut the sweetest sentiment.

My second card features images from the Geck Yeah Clear Stamp. I used a background paper from the Enchanted Paper Pack, trimmed down to 6″ x 4.5″.
Next, I die-cut the Bent Tree Die, Plant Die, and the florals from the Ivy Arbor Die to add the scenery elements. Once everything was die-cut and colored, I arranged the elements to create this magical forest setting.
