Hero Arts Togetherness Flower Bouquet | Copic Coloring

Hero Arts Togetherness Flower Bouquet

Hey crafty friends! It’s that time of the year again where I’m inspired to reach into my stash and start using my stamps that “I had to have but never used”. I seem to make this resolution every year and, after a few months, I stray back to my old buying habits. But every year I try and even though I won’t make it an entire year, I still consider any time I am using from my stash, a win!

Today I am sharing a card featuring Hero Arts’ Togetherness Flower Bouquet stamp. This is a stunning large floral that is the center of attention of my birthday card. I stamped the image using brown Copic friendly ink, then colored it with Copic Markers.

Copic Color Combinations

Pink: RV55, RV52, RV00, RV19
Peach: R12, R11, R00, YR02
Yellow: Y18, Y38
Leaves: YG01, YG05, YG17
Rose Leaves: G09, G05, G02, G12

On a white panel, I ink blended the background using Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink and a little Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink in the center. Then, I stamped the background with Peacock Feathers using Pearl Strings Bold Prints Cling stamp. I set the entire background with clear embossing powder.

To finish, I used a circle die-cut to center the floral image with foam adhesive. Next, I added the sentiment which I stamped and white heat embossed. And lastly, I added a few clear drops using liquid adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed this card, as always thank you so much for stopping by until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!

Newton’s Nook Designs Winter Birds | Copic Coloring

Newton's Nook Winter Birds

Hey crafty friends! I hope you are keeping warm where ever you are. I’m in Florida and for us Floridians – 60’s is cold. Although it could just be me, but, this girl definitely misses the warm weather. Today’s card uses Winter Birds by Newton’s Nook Designs and is inspired by the current color challenge at Inky Paws.

I love cardinals, their spectacular red color is a symbol of absolute beauty. After stamping the images with Copic-friendly ink, I used my Copic Markers to color the images.

Copic Color Combinations

Cardinal: R39, R29, R27, R24, R17, R14, W7
Berries: C5, C4, C2

I struggled with the background quite a lot before settling on using a piece of patterned paper. I matted the cream music sheet piece of patterned paper to an A2-sized brown cardstock.  Interestingly enough, the combination worked.

Newton's Nook Winter Birds

Next, I used the small berry image to create a wreath surrounding the little cardinal and adhered those on a piece of vellum. I attached the cardinal to the center of the wreath with foam adhesive and centered a sentiment strip at the bottom.

It’s a simple card, with a vintage feel and very unlike me. But I absolutely love the way the card came together. I hope you do too! As always thank you so much for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!

All Dressed Up Sledging All the Way

Good morning crafty friends and Happy New Year! It’s the first Sunday of the new month and that means it’s time for the first challenge at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends blog.

We have our exclusive sponsor this month, All Dressed Up, and I used this adorable image called Sledging All the Way.

To begin my card, I printed the image onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb. cardstock and colored the image with Copic Markers.

Copic Color Combination

Hair: E27, E25, E23, E21
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11
Pink: RV17, RV55, RV52, RV00
Teal: BG57, BG45, BG53, BG10
Bird: R22, R24, R27
Tree: E29, E23, G28, YG67, YG63

After my coloring was complete, I used my ScanNCut to cut the image out. Then, I used a stitched rectangle die to cut a piece of smooth white cardstock to create the background.

I ink blended the panel with Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink, and Festive Berries Distress Oxide at the edges. Next, I added some snowbanks using a die from my stash and added all the elements to the background.

To finish my card, I added the sentiment and adhered the entire panel to a top folding white card base.

Lawn Fawn Ready, Set, Snow | New Year Card | Copic Coloring

Lawn Fawn Ready Set Snow

Hey crafty friends! It’s crazy to think that in just a few short days we will be celebrating a new year. The end of the year seemed so distant but in a few little blinks here we are! It was an interesting year, to say the least. The global impact of Covid-19 had an effect on almost everyone. My hope for each and every one of you is that 2022 is better than the last and we celebrate those small victories that keep us going in the right direction.

To celebrate the New Year, I created a card inspired by the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge # 115 Happy New Year. My card focus is on the contrast between the inspirational photos.

I began by creating the background panel first. I inked up a piece of white smooth cardstock with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo then stamped the panel with Wood Plank Background Stamp.

For the images, I colored the cute snowman and background elements with my Copic Markers. I used the Ready, Set, Snow add-on to die cut the snow globe for my card.

Copic Marker Combination

Snowman: B00, B000, B0000
Brown: E29, E27, E25, E23
Pinks: RV17, RV55, RV52, RV00
Gold: Y26, Y38
Blue: B29, B26

Using Peacock Feather Distress Oxide ink, I ink blended the sky and added splatters with white acrylic paint for snow texture. Next, I die cut the images using the coordinating dies and set them aside.

Working on the background, I trimmed the panel to slightly smaller than A2 size and added the sentiment with white embossing powder.
And finally, I arranged all the small images and created my snow globe scene on the background panel.

That’s all for this card, I wish you many blessings for a happy, healthy, and creative new year…until next time, sprinkle a little creativity on your day!

Newton's Nook Designs Deer Friends

Hey crafty friends! I am back with another Christmas-inspired tag featuring Newton’s Nook Designs’ Deer Friend. I shared a tag last week featuring the same stamp, read the post here.

For this tag, I used a blue palette by ink blending a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks. For a little texture to the background, I added splatters with diluted white acrylic paint and set it aside to dry.

I previously stamped and colored the image with Copic markers using the color combination below.

face: E33, E31, E30

When the tag was dry, I stamped the sentiment using black ink. Next, I created a snowy hill by die-cutting a piece of white cardstock then adhered the images using glue dots or liquid adhesive.

Once again, this tag was inspired by the current Newton’s Nook Inky Paws Challenge.

Newton’s Nook Designs Deer Friends | Christmas Tag | Copic Coloring

Newton's Nook Designs Deer Friends

Hey crafty friends! As we near Christmas Celebrations and begin exchanging gifts, creating handmade gifts tags is the perfect finishing touch to add.

For this tag, I used Newton’s Nook Designs’ Deer Friends stamp set, Fox Hollow stamp set, and tag dies by Sizzix.

To begin my tag, I first stamped several images of the deer from the Deer Friends stamp set, and the evergreen trees from the Fox Hollow stamp set. Then, I used my Copic Markers to color in all of the images.

Newton's Nook Designs Deer Friends

Copic Marker Combination

Deer: E39, E37, E35, E33, R22, R21, R20
Light: E33, E31, E30
Tree: G28, YG67, YG63, YG03

After coloring, I used my ScanNCut to cut the images out leaving a small border. I knew I wanted to have more of the ink blended background visible so I opted to use a large tag die-cut. My tags are die-cut from Bristol smooth cardstock using Sizzix Framelits Tag Dies.

The sky is ink blended with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink at the top and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide ink toward the bottom of the tag. I added splatters to the background with diluted acrylic paint that mimics snow.

Once the tag was dry, I stamped the sentiment with black ink. I created a snowy hill from white cardstock and attached the images with glue dots.

To finish this tag, I fed a coordinating ribbon through the hole at top of the tag. This tag was inspired by the current Newton’s Nook Inky Paws Challenge. As always thank you so much for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!

Milkewee Reindeer with Friends Digital Stamp | Copic Coloring

Milkewee Deer with Friends

Hey crafty friends! I am beyond excited to share today’s card with you. It features a digital image by an extremely talented illustrator.

Who is this illustrator, you ask? Well, I may be a little biased but nevertheless, this illustrator happens to be my little sister. She recently opened her Etsy Shop under the name Milkewee, stop by and check out her designs.

For my card, I used Reindeer with Bunny Friends digital image. To begin, I printed the image onto a piece of solar white smooth cardstock then stamped the background. I created masks for the images prior to stamping the background then used the masks to ink blend over the top portion of the card. Using Squeezed Lemonade, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, and Seedless Preserve Distress Oxide inks, I created this background.  Next, I colored all the images with Copic Markers using the color combinations listed below.

After coloring the image, I used a stitched rectangle die to trim the panel down to slightly smaller than an A2 size panel. I stamped and embossed the sentiment to perfectly sum up this friendship and finished this card by adhering the panel to a white card base with foam adhesive.
