Hi crafty friends, I am sharing a fun slimline card for the Collected Crafty Collab for the month of December. This hop is all about inspiring you to reach for those hardly used or never used crafty supplies that we had to have.

For this month, I used the Snow Buddies by Honey Bee Stamps for my Snowman/Snowpeople themed inspired card.

After stamping all of the images with Memento Tuxedo ink onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock and I colored them in with Copic markers.

Copic Markers Combination

Snowmen: BV20, C0, C00, BV23, R32, R30
Nose: YR15, E23
Red: R39, R37, R35
Bunnies: E57, E55, E53, E51, E50, R22, R20

For the background, I ink blended a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock using Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink at the bottom, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink at the top. I faded the Tumbled Glass towards the top, leaving a small area white. I sprayed the panel with water to create texture then added white and blue paint splatters.

While that panel was drying, I die cut a piece of white cardstock using the Slimline Card Series, Scenic Border Die Set by Trinity Stamps. I added a strip of liquid glue at the top of the snowdrift then sprinkled it with fine glitter.

I stamped the sentiment onto the background panel and began arranging all of the images using foam adhesive, then added the entire panel to a slightly larger white slimline card base.

  1. What a fun, cheerful scene! I think my favorite might be the snowman having. A conversation with the bunny! It looks very important! Thank you for hopping along with us! Cheers to a new year!!!!

  2. Donna, your talent is incredible and I keep waiting for you to be “discovered” and elevated to the craft-famous level!!! This card is so freaking cute! The sentiment is fitting too, as I’ve made great memories and good friends through this hop! I’m so glad you joined and its been a pleasure getting to know you better! I’m looking forward to getting to meet you IRL whenever I finally make it down to FL to visit with family. I know there will always be temptations to buy new stamps, but I hope we can each keep going with a personal challenge of using our stash. I know more than once in this hop, someone has used something I own and has inspired me to pull it out and play with it. I want to be that inspiration for others. You, my friend, are an inspiration regardless of what you use!!! I’m going to be stalking your blog and when you make the big time I’m going to smile and say “I knew she’d make it!” I know Whimsy Stamps will be the first of many who want you to design for them!!!

  3. Super cute, Donna! I love the scene you created with these Honey Bee snowmen! Thanks for hopping along with us over these past few months; it’s been a pleasure working with you! 🙂
