Heffy Doodle Fluffy Puffy Unicorns | Instagram Hop and Giveaway

Heffy Doodle Fluffy Puffy Unicorns

Hey crafty friends! I am super excited to join a handful of talented paper crafters in an Instagram Hop celebrating our love for Heffy Doodle products. As fans, we have come together to inspire you with projects featuring the cute and whimsical Heffy Doodle. For my card, I used the Fluffy Puffy Unicorns Stamp set as well as the Cloudy Skies Stencil.

I began my card by stamping all of the images from the Fluffy Puffy Unicorns with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock.

I colored all of the images with my favorite coloring medium, Copic Markers, then used my ScanNCut to cut the images out.

Copic Color Combinations

Hair: BG49, BG45, BG53, BG10
Body: N3, N1, N0
Dot texture: N5, N3, white gel pen, sparkle gelly roll pen
Face: N3, N1, N0, R20
Rainbow: Y38, Y15, Y11
Dot Texture: YR15, Y38, white gel pen
Clouds: B01, B000, B0000

Heffy Doodle Fluffy Puffy Unicorns

For the background, I ink blended a piece of smooth cardstock with Catherine Pooler’s Party Dress. I wanted a pretty bold background and added several layers of ink. Next, I used the Cloudy Skies Stencil and white pigment ink. Alternating the cloud shapes, I added a small amount of white pigment ink at the edge using a finger dauber. For a little texture interest, I added white and pink diluted acrylic paint splatters.

Once the panel was dry, I die-cut the panel using a slimline fancy frame die. I also die-cut a piece of white cardstock with a slimline stitched die for the mat. To complete this card, I adhered all of the elements using foam adhesive or liquid glue.

There is an opportunity to win a prize, generously donated by Lesly Oman, the owner of Heffy Doodle. I encourage you to stop by my Instagram to begin this fun and inspiring hop.

Thank you so much for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!

SheepSki Designs Fuzzy | Lil Patch of Crafty Friends | Design Team Project

SheepSki Designs Fuzzy

Good morning crafty friends and happy August! It’s time for a new Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge and this month we are sponsored by Sheep ski Design. I created a fun shaker card featuring this adorable image called Fuzzy.

I printed my image onto Neenah Solar White 80lb. cardstock and colored my image with Copic Markers.

Copic Color Combination

Bear: E29, E27, E25, E23, E21
Face: E23, E21
Flower: RV17, RV52, RV10, YG01, YG25

SheepSki Designs Fuzzy

After coloring the image, I used my ScanNCut to cut the image out then worked on creating the background.

I ink blended a panel of smooth cardstock using Spun Sugar in the center of the panel, Kitsch Flamingo, and Wilted Violet at the edges. For a little interest, I added white and purple splatters by diluting acrylic paint and flicking the splatters with a paintbrush.

For the shaker element, I die cut a piece of white cardstock using Gift Box Cover-up die then began assembling all of the elements together.

I added clear acetate and foam adhesive to the back of the shaker element, then added the shaker bits. To complete my card, I added my image and a sentiment that was white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

I hope you’ll stop by the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog and check out the other design team member projects and enter for your chance to win from our fabulous sponsor.

Hero Arts My Monthly Hero June 2021

Hey crafty friends! I hope you are enjoying your day and the outlook for your weekend is fun! Here in Florida, we are enjoying some nice and sunny days, perfect for jumping in the pool.

I am really trying to be good about using the things I buy at least once. I had the stamp from the Hero Arts June 2021 card kit sitting next to me and I thought it was time to create a fun birthday card featuring the adorable little cat.

Following A Blog Named Hero Challenge, repeat stamping, I began by creating several masks of the cat and presents from masking paper. Next, I stamped out the cat at the top, then repeated the stamping of the presents for this little kitten to play on!

Copic Marker Combination

Cat: N7, N5, N3, N1, R22, R21
Blue: B29, B24, B32, B41
Aqua: BG49, BG13, BG11
Purple: BV08, BV13, BV02, BV00, V04 on the second blend
Pink: RV66, RV55, RV52, RV00
Gold: Y08, Y04, Y00, YR04 on the second blend

Hero Arts My Monthly Hero June 2021

For the background, I ink blended with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink around the image and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink at the outer edges. Next, I created texture by splattering the panel with diluted white and blue acrylic paint.

Finally, to complete this card, I clear embossed the sentiment and finished the card by die cutting the panel with a stitched rectangle die.

Julia Spiri Captain Cat

Hey crafty friends, I hope you are enjoying the weather wherever you are. I’m in sunny Florida and we are in the middle of our summer weather. Most days are sunny and hot, so a nice break in the pool is always welcomed.

This month at the World-Wide Open Design Challenge Blog, I used Captain Cat by Julia Spiri, found here.  As soon as I saw this image, I knew I wanted to create a sailing scene with this little cat at the center.

I printed the image onto a 4.25 x 5.5 piece of smooth white cardstock and used my Copic Markers. I began by coloring the waves, following a tutorial by the very talented Amy Young.

After coloring the waves, I colored the sky, sand, then colored my main image.

LeAnn’s World 101 Candycane | Lil Patch of Crafty Friends | Design Team Project

LeAnn's World 101 Candycane

Good morning crafty friends and happy Fourth of July to those the are in the US!  Today we celebrate Christmas in July over at the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. For my holiday-inspired project, I created a wintery scene featuring Candycane image by LeAnn’s World 101, found here.

I printed my image to fit a standard A2 size panel and set it in the foreground. Next, I created the background using Copic Markers. Whenever I create a card with this much detail, I typically work on the background first. This way, if I don’t like the background, I have not spent any time coloring the main image.

Copic Color Combination

Sky: B91, B00, BG000, BG0000
Mountain: E70, E000, E0000, B60, BG0000, B000, B0000
Trees: G82, G94, G99, BG99
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, R20, R30
Hair: E29, E27, E25, E23, E21
Outfit: RV17, RV55, RV52, RV00
Black: C7, C5, C3
White: C3, C1, C00
Holly Leaves and Berries: YG17, YG06, YG00, R39, R27
Ground Snow: B00, B000, B0000
White Gel Pen for snow

LeAnn's World 101 Candycane

I stamped the large scripty sentiment and used a white gel pen to add falling snow across the entire card front.

To complete my card, I trimmed the panel using a stitched rectangle die slightly smaller than A2 size card. I added a pink mat to a side folding card base then added my main panel with liquid adhesive.

I hope you’ll stop by the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog and celebrate Christmas in July with us. Don’t forget to check out the other design team members and enter for your chance to win one of two prizes from our two fabulous sponsors.

Gerda Steiner Designs Catch A Wave | Copic Coloring

Gerda Steiner Designs Catch a Wave

Hey crafty friends! It is officially summer, and this little duck is celebrating in a big wavy way. In my part of the world, summer is pretty hot and we do spend a lot of time in the water. Although we don’t spend as much time at the ocean as this little ducky, we do hit the pool on most days.

For this beach-themed card, I used the little ducky from Gerda Steiner Designs’ Catch a Wave. I stamped all of the images onto white smooth cardstock and colored the images with Copic Markers.

Copic Color Combinations

Ducky: Y08, Y04, Y00 on the second blend I added YR04
Beak / Feet: YR18, YR04
Pink: RV17, RV55, RV52
Purple: V06, V04, V000
Blue: B29, B24, B32
Teal: BG05, BG01, BG000
Glasses: N7, N5, N3
Beach: E21, E23, E25
Shells: E43, E42, E40

Gerda Steiner Designs Catch a Wave

I used several dies to create the beach scene. First, I ink blended a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock with Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, and Wild Honey Distress Oxide inks. Next, I created the splatters with acrylic paint. And finally, I die cut the panel using an Avery Elle Ellements die.

For the bottom of the scene, I ink blended the ocean waves with Blueprint Sketch, the sand with Antique Linen, and die cut both of the pieces with Kinetic Straight Waves Die Set by Whimsy Stamps.

Gerda Steiner Designs Catch a Wave

To finish my card, I added a white heat embossed sentiment and arranged my images and die-cut elements using foam adhesive or liquid adhesive.

This little ducky sure has the right idea to start off the summer! As always, thank you so much for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!

MFT Stamps We Beelong | Copic Coloring

MFT Stamps We Beelong

Hi crafty friends! Aren’t these bears adorable??? Well, if you ask me, ALL bears are adorable. I am a teddy bear collector and my love of teddy bears comes out of my childhood love for the teddy bear.

For this card, I used a recently released We Beelong stamp set by MFT Stamps. I began the card by stamping all of the images using Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb. cardstock.

Copic Marker Combination

Bears: E44, E43, E42, E41, R30
Water: BG45, BG53, BG01, BG000
Flowers: RV19, RV02, Y17
Grass: YG17, YG05, YG01
Bee: Y17, Y15, Y11, W9, W5, W3, BG02, BG000

MFT Stamps We Beelong

For the background, I ink blended two hillside die cuts and the sky. Next, I added some hearts with a heart stencil then added interest with blue ink splatters.

Using a sweet sentiment from the stamp set, I white heat embossed it onto a piece of black cardstock before trimming it with a sentiment strip. Lastly, I added all of the elements to the front of my card panel using foam adhesive, liquid glue, or glue dots.

Julia Spiri The Little Ladybug | World Wide Open Challenge | Design Team Project

Julia Spiri The Little Ladybug

Hey crafty friends! Welcome to the World-Wide Open Design Challenge Blog for the month of June. If you are wondering how it could be June already, then you are not alone! It seems that one blink and we are past another month.

For this challenge, I used The Little Ladybug by Julia Spiri, and created a fun Summer scene card. Just in case I didn’t mention it before, but scene cards are my most favorite card design to create.

I printed the image onto a 4.25 x 5.5 piece of smooth white cardstock and used my Copic Markers. I began by coloring in the sky a nice sunset shade. After coloring the bottom part of the scene, I decided that I did not like the sky. Since I added yellow, I had to think of a way to creatively cover it without creating a bigger mess.

I added the cliffs in and that took care of half the problem but the center portion of the card was still a bit of a dilemma. I thought that my trusty Distress Oxide inks would solve the problem and Salty Ocean did the trick.

Copic Color Combination

Water: B000, B00, B12, B14, BG11
Grass: YG03, YG17, YG67
Sand: E21
Cliffs: E70, E71, E74
Leaf: YG17, YG05, YG03, YG00
Pink: RV17. RV55, RV52″
Yellow: Y38, Y18, Y04
Black: N5, N3, N1
Hair: E21, E23, E25, E27
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20

To complete my scene, I added clouds by using diluted white acrylic paint and a stiff stenciling brush. Since my card was printed to an A2-sized panel, I simply trimmed the panel with a rectangle-stitched die and added the sentiment.

We would love for you to join us and enter in the World-Wide Open Design Team Challenge this month. Don’t forget, you must be part of a design team to participate unless you are part of the Julia Spiri Facebook Group.

MFT Stamps Lovable Leopards | Copic Coloring

MFT Stamps Lovable Leopard

Hey crafty friends! It has been such a busy week that I absolutely needed some downtime and what better way to relax than to create a fun card. Normally, I find coloring to be my solace and these guys are just the cutest image.

Unfortunately, this stamp set is discontinued but there are a ton of other stamps similar to this one by MFT Stamps.

I started my card by creating the background first. Using MFT Stamps’ Mini Cloud Edges stencil, I created a fun cloudy sky with Distress Oxide Ink in Mermaid Lagoon. Next, I stamped and colored my images using Copic Markers.

Copic Marker Combination

Leopards: YR18, YR14, Y35, Y23, YR30
Nose/Snout: YR24, Y23, YR30
Brown: E29, E27, E25
Green: YG17, YG05, YG03, YG01

MFT Stamps Lovable Leopard

After coloring all of the images, I used the coordinating dies and set the images aside to continue creating the background.

I ink blended the grassy hill using Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink then added a little Lucky Clover to create some depth. For the last element on my scene card, I die-cut yellow cardstock and added Wild Honey and Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide for dimension.

After coloring and ink blending, I began building my scene card by adding the image and die cuts with foam adhesive or liquid glue.

And finally, I heat embossed the sentiment onto a piece of black cardstock and trimmed it with a banner sentiment strip.

I hope you enjoyed my card as much as I enjoyed making it. As a bonus, I have the perfect recipients for this card in mind. I want them to know that even though we have not seen each other for a while, I hold them very dear in my heart.
