Lawn Fawn Frosty Fairy Friends | Copic Markers

There’s something about snowy cards that feels so cozy and magical—soft falling snow, frosty hills, bundled-up critters. Meanwhile, I’m over here in Florida, where “winter” means maybe needing a light jacket in the morning and turning the AC back on by noon. This birthday card was my little escape into a whimsical winter wonderland, complete with fairies and frosty details. I was inspired by the current LawnFawnatics Challenge #212 Let’s Celebrate.

The Card Details

I started by stamping the images from Frosty Fairy Friends and coloring them with Copic markers. Coloring these little fairies is always a joy—they have so much personality packed into such tiny images.

For the background, I reached for Sarah Renae Clark’s Color Cube to help me choose a color palette. This was one of my Christmas gifts, and let me tell you… I had to break it in right away. It made picking colors feel less like guesswork and more like creative play.

I ink-blended a piece of light pink cardstock using Salt Water Taffy Distress Oxide Ink, Peaches ‘N Cream by Taylor Expressions, and Salt Water Taffy Distress InkThe soft blend gave me that dreamy winter-sky-meets-sunset look I love so much.

For the snowy hill, I die-cut white cardstock using the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders die, then ink-blended Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink

Bringing It All Together

Once everything was dry, I splattered the background with white acrylic paint and began assembling my scene. To finish off my card, I added a simple white embossed birthday sentiment.

This card was such a fun mix of playful coloring, soft ink blending, and letting myself enjoy new tools—because honestly, what’s better than using a crafty Christmas gift immediately?

Thanks so much for stopping, I hope this card inspires you to celebrate big… even if your version of winter looks a little different than mine.
