I’m so very Grateful | Lawn Fawn You Autumn Know | Copic Coloring

Lawn Fawn You Autumn Know

Hey crafty friends! As we celebrate Thanksgiving in the U.S. we reflect on what we are grateful for. Among many things I’m grateful for,  I’m very thankful for my family and friends that uplift me daily. I feel grateful for the most amazing group of teachers I work with that inspire me to be my best. And I’m thankful for all of you. I appreciate each and everyone one of you that stop by my little corner of the web, leave comments or connect with me through social media. I’m grateful to be part of this crafty community where we support and build each other up. I was inspired by the grateful mindset to create this slimline card featuring You Autumn Know and Scripty Autumn Sentiments by Lawn Fawn.

Lawn Fawn You Autumn Know

To begin, I stamped all of the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto smooth cardstock. Using my Copic Markers, I colored all of the images.

Copic Marker Combination

Mice: W7, W5, W3, W1, W0, R20, R30
Bellies: W3, W1, W0
Leaves: YG06, Y15
Leaves: YG03, YG01, Y15
Leaves: YR07, YR15, Y35, Y15

Working on the background, I die-cut brown cardstock using the largest stitched slimline die from Stitched Card Panels and Windows by Trinity Stamps. Next, I die cut a scalloped slimline panel using Scalloped Slimline with Hearts in Landscape by Lawn Fawn and ink blended the panel.

Lawn Fawn You Autumn Know

At this point, I began assembling all of the elements onto my top panel using liquid adhesive or glue dots. Part of the sentiment was white heat embossed then die cut with a coordinating die. Lastly, I added the top panel to the brown mat and adhered everything to a slimline card base.

As always thank you so much for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!

Lawn Fawn Critters in the Forest | Copic Coloring

Lawn Fawn Critters in the Forest

Hey crafty friends! I’ve been on a kick lately to reach into my stash of crafty supplies and pull-out stamps that have not seen the light of day since they were bought. You know those that you had to have, then you bought, and never used. We all have them.

Don’t get me wrong, I love new release items but there’s a little issue of space and money to consider at this point in my crafty journey. Long story short, I personally need to be very particular about the new items I purchase and revisit some of my older crafty goodies to create with.

Lawn Fawn Critters in the Forest

I’m starting off with this gem by Lawn Fawn called Critters in the Forest. My favorite type of stamp is critters and these were super fun to color.

Copic Marker Combination

Pine Tree: G29, YG67, YG63, YG03
Fox: E09, YR18, YR07, YR14, YR12, E53, E50
Owl: E47, E44, E43, light E43, E41, YR18, Y35
Raccoon: W7, W5, W3, Light W5, W3, W1, W0
Hedgehog: E49, E47, E44, E43, Light E43, E52, E41
Tree trunk: E29, E27, E25, E23 Light E23, E21
Toad Stool: R29, R24, YR15, E44, E43, E41

After coloring the images, I used my ScanNCut to cut the images out leaving a small border. For the background, I die cut a piece of Lawn Fawn paper bag cardstock using the Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop die. Next, I added Vintage Photo Distress ink to give the panel some depth.

Lawn Fawn Critters in the Forest

I created a little scene for the front panel by ink blending Broken China and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink for the sky. Using Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink, I ink blended the grass and die cut the panel with Simple Grassy Hillside die.

To complete this card, I added all of the focal point elements to the front panel, stamped the sentiment, and adhered the panel to the background.

All Dressed Up Sleepy Time | Lil Patch of Crafty Friends | Design Team Project

All Dressed Up Digital Images

Good morning crafty friends! It’s time for a new Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge and this month we are sponsored by All Dressed Up. I have been a huge fan of Wendy’s hand-drawn work and love all of her digital images. This month, I opted to use this beautiful image called Sleepy Time. I thought it was a perfect time to create an Autumn-inspired card.

I printed my image onto Neenah Solar White 80lb. cardstock and colored my image with Copic Markers.

Copic Color Combination

Fox: E19, YR18, YR65, YR15
        E33, E31, E30, W7, W5, W3
Yellow: Y13, Y03
Pink: RV06, RV00
Burgundy: RV69, R43

All Dressed Up Digital Images

After coloring the image, I used my ScanNCut to cut the image out then worked on creating the background.

I ink blended a panel of smooth cardstock using Broken China Distress Oxide ink at the outer edges, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide in the center. For a little interest, I added gold splatters by flicking gold spray with a paintbrush.

Next, I created the Fall Leaf Wreath by die-cutting a piece of watercolor cardstock and adding watercolor in several shades of yellows, oranges, greens, and reds.

Once both of the panels were dry, I began adhering the elements to an A2-sized card base. Lastly, I added a white heat embossed sentiment die cut with a wavy banner die.

Morgan’s Artworld Fantasy Fae 18 | Lil Patch of Crafty Friends | Design Team Project

Morgan's Art World Fantasy Fae 18

Good morning crafty friends! It’s the beginning of a new month and the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends begins with a new challenge. This month, Team A is sponsored by the talented Morgan Fitzsimons from Creative Art Design Studio. For my project, I used a lovely image called Fantasy Fae 18.

To begin my card, I printed the image onto Neenah Solar White 80lb. cardstock and again on copy paper to create a mask. I simply fussy cut the image and add temporary adhesive to the back. I like to use Zig Two-Way Glue Fine Tip. It is permanent when it is wet, but it dries the adhesive is temporary.

Next, I added my mask and ink blended the background. I began with Tumbled Glass closest to the image, then Blueprint Sketch, and finally Chipped Sapphire just at the outer edges of the panel. I added texture to the background with diluted acrylic white paint. And finally, I colored in the main image with Copic Markers.

Copic Color Combination

Skin: E13, E11, E00, E000
Hair: E49, E29, E27, E25, E23
Feathers: RV17, RV55, RV52
Shirt: G21, YG61, G40
Flower: RV09, RV55, RV52, Y02, Y00

After coloring the image, I used a large stitched rectangle die to die cut the panel to an A2-sized piece. I added the sentiment which I white heat embossed onto the background. And finally, I added a few clear round drops.

Julia Spiri Little Ballerina | World Wide Open Challenge | Design Team Project

Julia Spiri Little Ballerina

Hey crafty friends, welcome to the World-Wide Open Design Challenge for the month of August. For this month’s card, I used Little Ballerina by Julia Spiri, found here

This month I opted for a simpler card design by focusing on the image with a little ink blending. I printed the image onto a 4.25 x 5.5 piece of smooth white cardstock then printed another copy onto regular copy paper. I used this second print to create a simple mask by fussy cutting the image and adding liquid adhesive. For a repositionable hold, I typically use Zig 2 Way Glue then allow the mask to dry clear.

Copic Color Combination

Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000, R20
Hair: E29, E27, E25, E23, E21
Lips: RV17
Outfit: RV17, RV55, RV52, RV10, RV000, N01, N0
Ground: N0, N1, N2, Dot texture: N5

Julia Spiri Little Ballerina

Before coloring the image, I ink blended the background using a Watercolor Wash Rectangle Stencil with Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, and Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink.

Next, I colored in the image using Copic Markers and used a stitched rectangle die to trim the panel. To finish this card, I stamped out a sentiment, clear embossed, and added a few clear beads.

Heffy Doodle Fluffy Puffy Unicorns | Instagram Hop and Giveaway

Heffy Doodle Fluffy Puffy Unicorns

Hey crafty friends! I am super excited to join a handful of talented paper crafters in an Instagram Hop celebrating our love for Heffy Doodle products. As fans, we have come together to inspire you with projects featuring the cute and whimsical Heffy Doodle. For my card, I used the Fluffy Puffy Unicorns Stamp set as well as the Cloudy Skies Stencil.

I began my card by stamping all of the images from the Fluffy Puffy Unicorns with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock.

I colored all of the images with my favorite coloring medium, Copic Markers, then used my ScanNCut to cut the images out.

Copic Color Combinations

Hair: BG49, BG45, BG53, BG10
Body: N3, N1, N0
Dot texture: N5, N3, white gel pen, sparkle gelly roll pen
Face: N3, N1, N0, R20
Rainbow: Y38, Y15, Y11
Dot Texture: YR15, Y38, white gel pen
Clouds: B01, B000, B0000

Heffy Doodle Fluffy Puffy Unicorns

For the background, I ink blended a piece of smooth cardstock with Catherine Pooler’s Party Dress. I wanted a pretty bold background and added several layers of ink. Next, I used the Cloudy Skies Stencil and white pigment ink. Alternating the cloud shapes, I added a small amount of white pigment ink at the edge using a finger dauber. For a little texture interest, I added white and pink diluted acrylic paint splatters.

Once the panel was dry, I die-cut the panel using a slimline fancy frame die. I also die-cut a piece of white cardstock with a slimline stitched die for the mat. To complete this card, I adhered all of the elements using foam adhesive or liquid glue.

There is an opportunity to win a prize, generously donated by Lesly Oman, the owner of Heffy Doodle. I encourage you to stop by my Instagram to begin this fun and inspiring hop.

For the background, I ink blended with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink around the image and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink at the outer edges. Next, I created texture by splattering the panel with diluted white and blue acrylic paint.

Finally, to complete this card, I clear embossed the sentiment and finished the card by die cutting the panel with a stitched rectangle die.
