Sugar Pea Designs For Pugs Sake | Valentine’s Day Handmade Cards

Good morning everyone, I’m starting the Valentine’s Day cardmaking with this adorable little pug by Sugar Pea Designs.
This card was inspired by the current Sugar Pea Designs’ Mix it up Challenge # 63.

stamped image of a pug

For this card, I followed the sketch provided to create a sweet Pugs & Kisses Valentine’s Day card that you can share with a loved
one or a friend.
I stamped out the image of the pug and clouds onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black
ink and used my Copic Markers to color the images in.

Copic Markers Combination

Pug: E55, E53, E51, E50, W9, W7, W5, W3
Balloon: BV, 13, BV04, BV02, BV01
Clouds: BV04, BV02, BV01

Once I finished coloring the images, I used the Brother ScanNCut to cut the images out leaving a small white border.

stamped images of pug

To create the background, I die cut a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock with a large stitched rectangle die and then ink blended
Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink, Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink and finished the bottom off with a little Blue Print Sketch Distress
Oxide ink. I splattered the background with watered down Shaded Lilac and Black acrylic paint for a little interest.

To assemble the card, I die cut puffy clouds from white cardstock and added them to the bottom with foam tape, added a sentiment,
and the focal point images. And that’s all to it!

Morgan’s Art World Old Roses Frame | Lil Patch of Crafty Friends | Design Team Project

Good morning everyone, today starts the new challenge over on the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. This month
we are celebrating 5 years with a month-long celebration by hosting a challenge every week for more chances to win. This
week we are sponsored by Morgan’s Art World. For my project today, I used the Old Roses Frame.

scripture quote in old roses frame

Typically, I make cards and hardly ever stray from cardmaking. Every now and then I’ll get into mixed media and create some
arts on canvas. For this project, I immediately envisioned an inspirational sentiment inside the rose background framed.
And that is exactly what I made.

I printed the image in a 5 x 7 format because I wanted to create a framed picture onto a piece of Neenah White 80lb cardstock.
I used Copic markers to color in all of the images including the background.

Copic Markers Combination

Roses: R59, R39, R27, R24, R22
Greenery: G28, YG67, YG63, YG03
Frame: E37, E35, E33, E31
Background: B00, B000, B0000

For the background, in order to be somewhat seamless, I added several layers of ink focusing on a darker center and lighter
as it fades out. If I had to do it all over again, I probably would have drawn in some clouds to break up the scene and
made it a little more dimensional.

I trimmed around the frames and added a piece of black cardstock as a mat then framed it in a 5×7 black frame.

I hope you will join us for this week’s challenge over on Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog and enter to win a prize.

Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamp Winter Hugs | Craft Collabs Video Hop | Giveaway

Good morning everyone and welcome to this months’ Craft Collabs Hop, where we come together to share themed crafty projects.
This month’ we are sponsored by Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps, found here.

My card today features Winter Hugs stamp set and a pearl alcohol ink background.

Polar Bear and Penguin stamped images

I first started working on the background for this card because I needed time for this to dry. I decided to work with Pearl Alcohol
inks in several shades of purples and pinks, along with a touch of silver and white. In a well-ventilated room, I placed a piece of
Yupo Paper onto my work surface and added the alcohol inks one by one, as well as the blending solution.

The fun part of creating with alcohol inks is that you can play around by adding the ink and then moving the ink around with a
blending solution and a felt applicator tool or a brush and even a straw will move that ink. There is no right or wrong way, it’s all
about just sitting down and playing around.

Polar Bear and Penguin stamped images

Once, I was happy with the outcome of my background, I set it aside to completely dry. In the meantime, I stamped all of the
images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb. cardstock with Memento Tuxedo ink and used my Copic markers to color them in,
then the ScanNCut to cut them out.

Copic Markers Combination

Igloo: B000, BG000, B0000, Blender
Polar Bears: W2, W1, W00, R20, R000, Blender
Penguin: Black W9, W7, W5, W3 White W2, W1, W00, Blender Feet YR04,  E33

Polar Bear and Penguin stamped images

Once the background was dry, I added Distress Micro Glaze to seal in the color, then began working on the rest of the components.
I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of black cardstock and heat set it with white embossing powder, then trimmed it down.
I used a stitched hillside die to creatively die cut a long piece of white cardstock for the snowbank. Once I had all of the
pieces colored and die cut, I was ready to add the components onto the card front and create a very wintery little scene.

Pattie’s Creations Moon Fairy | Lil Patch of Crafty Friends | Design Team Project

Good morning everyone, it’s time for a new challenge on the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. The theme is always
ANYTHING GOES and this week, the design team is creating projects with Pattie’s Creations images. For my card today,
I created a whimsy inspired card using the Moon Fairy digital image.

Moon Fairy Digital image

I began the card by printing the image onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. I wanted the image to be prominent
on the card design, so I printed the image almost as large as the card panel. I created a mask by printing the image onto a
piece of printing paper and then added a temporary liquid adhesive to the back. For the tiny stars, I used a liquid mask
over the stars in order to create the background.

Moon Fairy digital image

Using a stencil and Distress Oxide ink in Wilted Violet, I created the purple clouds with a blender brush.
After removing the mask, I used my Copic markers to color in the image.

Copic Markers Combination

Skin: E04, E13, E11, E21, E00, E000, R20
Hair: E11, E13, E15, E18, E49
Outfit: BG49, BG57, BG45, BG53, BG10
Wings: BG57, BG53, BG10
Moon: C02, C01, C0, C00, Y000, B0000, Blender

To finish this card, I stamped part of the sentiment onto a piece of black cardstock and white heat embossed it.
The second part of the sentiment, I stamped directly on the background and added silver embossing powder.

Sugar Pea Designs’ Christmas Cheer | Nuvo Gilding Flakes | Copic coloring

Good morning everyone, I’m sharing one last holiday inspired card for this year featuring Sugar Pea Designs’ Christmas Cheer
stamp set and Nuvo’s Gilding Flakes in the background.

Sugar Pea Designs Christmas Cheer stamp set colored with Copic markers combined with Card Front Elements Builder II by Sugar Pea Designs and Nuvo Gilding Flakes in gold for a holiday inspired handmade card.

I started this card by creating the background first. I cut a piece of Neenah Desert Storm panel to 4.25 by 5.5 and applied a
double-sided adhesive from Scrapbook.com diagonally across the entire panel. Then I applied the gold gilding flakes
and rubbed them in with my fingers. Once the entire panel was covered, I used a stencil brush to brush away any
excess flakes back into the container.

Next, I stamped out the images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo ink and colored
them in with Copic markers.

Copic Markers Combination

Bear: C02, C01, C00, Blender
Hat: B02, B01
Owl: E27, E55, E53
Lights: Y15, Y00
Red: R24, R22
Blue: B01, B00, Blender

I used the ScanNCut to cut out all of the images and die cut a tag from Gina K’s Red Velvet by Thermo Web cardstock using Card Front Elements Builder II by Sugar Pea Designs.

Then I added all of my components onto the card front with foam tape and finished the card with a sentiment strip
stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Lawn Fawn Oh What Fun | Clean and Simple Christmas Handmade Card

Hi everyone, I’ve had this stamp in my stash for a little while now and finally pulled it out for a quick and easy Christmas card,
inspired by the current LawnFawnatics Challenge: Happy Little Holiday Critters.

Lawn Fawn Oh What Fun stamp set combined with Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrop die and Lawn Fawn Winter Wavy Sayings Christmas Handmade card.

I stamped the adorable Santa bear from the Lawn Fawn Oh What Fun stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb.
cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Ink and used my Copic markers to color in this image.

Copic Markers Combination

Red: R39, R37, R35, R14
Gold: Y00, Y04, Y23, YR23, Y28
Bear: E25, E23, E21, R22
White: C3, C1, C00
White Gel Pen

Lawn Fawn Oh What Fun stamp set combined with Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrop die and Lawn Fawn Winter Wavy Sayings Christmas Handmade card.

I envisioned a snow globe effect but the snow globe die would have cut out most of the background. So plan B was to use the
largest stitched circle tag and die cut the tag from a white A2 sized panel.
For the background, I used a piece of navy heavyweight cardstock and the Snowfall Backdrop by Lawn Fawn
and simply die cut the panel.

Lawn Fawn Oh What Fun stamp set combined with Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrop die and Lawn Fawn Winter Wavy Sayings Christmas Handmade card.

To complete this card, I adhered the navy panel directly to a white card base then added the top panel with foam tape
for some dimension. I set the focal point pieces inside and then added a sentiment and finished the card off
with a couple of die-cut hearts from red cardstock with glossy accents.

Newton’s Nook Designs Winter Birds | Starfield Stencil and Nuvo Glimmer Paste | Christmas Handmade Card

Hi everyone, it is almost the end of the week and that means (at least in my house) hands up for the weekend!
I wanted to share an adorable Christmas card featuring this beautiful cardinal from the
Winter Birds stamp set by Newton’s Nook Designs.

Newton’s Nook Designs Winter Birds, colored with Copic Markers. Newton’s Nook Designs Starfield Stencils and Nuvo Glimmer paste in Moonstone. Christmas handmade card.

I began by stamping out the images from the stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb. cardstock with Memento Tuxedo
Black ink and using Copic markers to color in these. I used the ScanNCut to cut these images out. I had a little trouble with the
berries but nothing that a little tape could not fix.

Copic Markers Combination

Bird: R59, R39, R29, R27, R24, R22, E39, W33
Branch: E29, E27, E25, E23
Berries: R27, R39

Newton’s Nook Designs Winter Birds, colored with Copic Markers. Newton’s Nook Designs Starfield Stencils and Nuvo Glimmer paste in Moonstone. Christmas handmade card.

For the background, I took a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock and ink blended Peacock Feathers Distress Ink using a blender brush.
Once it was dry, I die cut the panel using a stitched rectangle from the Frames & Flags Die set by Newton’s Nook Designs.
And then, I added the Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Moonstone over the Starfield Stencil for a touch of sparkle to the background.

Once the background was dry, I adhered the images with foam tape and then added it on top of a red scalloped
rectangle panel. I debated on adding the sentiment to the front of the card but I chose to stamp the sentiment on the inside
and not cover up any of the gorgeous sparkle on the card front.

This card was inspired by the current Inky Paws Challenge titled “Snowy Day”, check out the design teams inspiration
projects for some amazing cards.

Your Next Stamp Frosty Friends | Copic Markers | Christmas Handmade Card

Hi there, today I’m sharing a Christmas inspired card featuring Your Next Stamps’ Frosty Friends stamp for a sweet and shiny card.

Your Next Stamp Frosty Friends stamped image colored with Copic Markers set against an ink blended background for a sparkly Christmas handmade card.

For this card, I started by ink blending a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock with Seedless Preserve Distress Ink with a blender brush.
I added several layers of color to build up a bold background. Once the background was dry, I stamped the snowflakes
randomly on the background with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Your Next Stamp Frosty Friends stamped image colored with Copic Markers set against an ink blended background for a sparkly Christmas handmade card.

I only used one image from the stamp set which I stamped onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb. cardstock with Memento
Tuxedo ink and used Copic markers to color in the image. I then used my ScanNCut to cut the image out.

Copic Markers Combination

Teal: BG49, BG45, BG53, BG10
White: C3, C1, C00, Blender, R22
Flower: RV69, RV55, RV00

I die cut a piece of white cardstock with Stitched Hillside Borders by Lawn Fawn then added some fine glitter by Lawn Fawn
on the hill to represent some shiny and sparkly snow.
I adhered the largest panel with fun foam to a white card base, then added the snowbank and my image.

Fabrika Fantasy Naughty Cherry Elf | Lil Patch of Crafty Friends | Design Team Project

Good morning fellow crafters, today starts the new challenge over on the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog.
This month’s exclusive sponsor for the challenge is Fabrika Fantasy. Fabrika Fantasy store carries some of the cutest, fun
and fantasy images for card making and coloring enthusiasts! For my design team project, I used the pre-colored Naughty
Cherry Elf image for a sweet inspired Christmas card.

Fabrika Fantasy digital image of The Naughty Cherry Elf, Christmas handmade card.

I printed the colored image onto a piece of Neenah 110lb. cardstock and used my ScanNCut to cut them out. Working
on the background, I die-cut a piece of vellum with a large stitched rectangle die and using a Delightful Bubbles Stencil
by Echo Park with Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Moonstone color. This is essentially a translucent paste with glitter, so whatever
the background is, that is the color that the paste will pick up. Since I used a translucent paper on top of white cardstock,
my paste took a white hue.

Fabrika Fantasy digital image of The Naughty Cherry Elf, Christmas handmade card.

Next, I die cut a tag from a piece of brown cardstock and added a woodgrain texture with an embossing folder by Sizzix. I added
a swipe of white pigment ink to give the impression of snow.

To finish this card, I adhered all of the elements, adding foam square and using a liquid adhesive. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment
using clear embossing ink and set it with white embossing powder onto red cardstock.

I hope you will join us and enter the challenge over on Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog for a chance to win a prize
and check out our sponsor, Fabrika Fantasy and their shop for some amazingly adorable images.
