Julia Spiri Aviator Cat | World Wide Open Challenge | Design Team Project

Aviator Cat

Good morning crafty friend! Welcome to the World-Wide Open Design Team “Anything Goes” challenge! This month I chose to create with Aviator Cat by the lovely Julia Spiri. I encourage you to check out her amazing work here.

Taking inspiration from Amelia Earhart, I colored in the cat with my Copic Markers, after printing the image onto Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock.

Copic Color Combination
Cat: YR27, YR24, YR21, Y32, N7, R22, R20
Pink: R85, R83, R81
Gray: N5, N3, N1, N0

Once the coloring was complete, I used my ScanNCut to cut the image out. Next, I created the background using an embossing folder with dashed lines. I wanted to convey visual movement like a plane would make on some destination.

Using the Tim Holtz Small Talk Stickers, I picked out the sentiment and added it to my card front with foam adhesive. To finish this card, I added pink clay hearts and a compass for embellishments.

Head on over to the World-Wide Open Design Team Challenge Blog to check out the other design team members and enter for your chance to win. You MUST be a DT on any Design Team in the World to be eligible to enter this Challenge however, the challenge is open to any of Julia Spiri Facebook Members.

All Dressed Up Butterfly Bunny | Lil Patch of Crafty Friends | Design Team Project

Happy Sunday crafty friends! Welcome to the new challenge on the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. This month, we are sponsored by All Dressed Up Stamps. Please visit her Etsy shop and check out the most adorable images. I especially admire all of the animal images and chose to work with Butterfly Bunny.

I printed the image onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock and colored the main image with Copic Markers. Once my main image was colored, I created a mask by printing the image again onto a piece of paper, fussy cutting, and adding repositionable adhesive to the back of the image.

Copic Color Combination

Bunny: E57, E55, E53, E51, E50
Belly: E51, E50, Blender
Pink Flower: R85, R83, R81
Purple Flower: V17, V15, V12
Blue Flower: B29, B24, B21
Green: YG17, YG06, YG01
Butterflies: RV55, RV17, FV2, RV19, BG49, BG45, RV21

I die-cut the panel using a large stitched rectangle die, then ink blended with Distress Oxide inks in Mustard Seed and Dried Marigold, leaving the bottom portion for grass.

While my mask was in place, I added a little interest to my card by adding white splatters. I immediately removed the masks and allowed the panel to dry.

To complete this card, I stamped out the sentiment and heat embossed it before adhering the card panel to a white card base.

Please visit our sponsor, All Dressed Up Stamps, and check out her amazing artwork.

Hey crafty friends! Welcome to the February kit reveal for the Club La-La Land Crafts. This is my second-month guest designing for Club La-La Land Crafts and I am super excited to bring you the kit reveal and two project shares.

This month, we are taking a step back into the ’50s with this fun retro-style theme. If I had a choice on what era I wanted to live in, this would have been it. The fun poodle skirts, soda fountains, sock hops, jukebox, etc. are all fabulous trends from this era.

This kit embodies the feel of the ’50s with the fun images and dies in this kit.

I combined several items from the kit, as well as other LLLC Products, which I’ve linked to their store to create the two cards.

Lemon Shortbread Swing Girl

Happy Sunday crafty friends! Welcome to the new challenge on the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. This month, we are sponsored by Lemon Shortbread and I chose Swing Girl for my design team project.

I printed the image onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock and colored the scene with Copic Markers. I wanted to create a very summer-inspired scene for this card using bright background colors.

Using a large stitched rectangle die, I die cut the panel to an A2 sized card.

To complete this card, I stamped out the sentiment and heat embossed it, then adhered the card panel to a white card base.

Collected Crafty Collabs December Hop | Honey Bee Stamps Snow Buddies

snowman stamp image

Hi crafty friends, I am sharing a fun slimline card for the Collected Crafty Collab for the month of December. This hop is all about inspiring you to reach for those hardly used or never used crafty supplies that we had to have.

For this month, I used the Snow Buddies by Honey Bee Stamps for my Snowman/Snowpeople themed inspired card.

After stamping all of the images with Memento Tuxedo ink onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock and I colored them in with Copic markers.

Copic Markers Combination

Snowmen: BV20, C0, C00, BV23, R32, R30
Nose: YR15, E23
Red: R39, R37, R35
Bunnies: E57, E55, E53, E51, E50, R22, R20

snowman stamp image

For the background, I ink blended a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock using Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink at the bottom, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink at the top. I faded the Tumbled Glass towards the top, leaving a small area white. I sprayed the panel with water to create texture then added white and blue paint splatters.

While that panel was drying, I die cut a piece of white cardstock using the Slimline Card Series, Scenic Border Die Set by Trinity Stamps. I added a strip of liquid glue at the top of the snowdrift then sprinkled it with fine glitter.

Snowman Stamp

I stamped the sentiment onto the background panel and began arranging all of the images using foam adhesive, then added the entire panel to a slightly larger white slimline card base.

? Next up on the Collected Crafty Collabs hop is the lovely Virginia Fairchild! Hop along and be inspired by all of the wonderful and talented participants in this hop.
