Pretty Pink Posh | Clean and Simple Strip Inlay Cards |

Hello everyone,

Today’s cards are all about clean and simple card designs. I’m incorporating a strip of ink blended inlaid cardstock in the cards today for a bit of color and a few adorable images to complete these cards.

Pretty Pink Posh Stamps with an ink blended inlaid strip on a clean and simple card design.

I die cut three panels of 110 lb. cardstock using a large stitched rectangle die and strips of Bristol smooth cardstock that I will use to ink blend some Distress Oxide inks.

Pretty Pink Posh Wild Roses stamp combined with Distress Oxides Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey inlaid strip on a clean and simple card design.

For the first card, I cut a vertical section out of the panel to create the space for a strip of cardstock to inlay. For this card, I combined Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey Distress Oxide inks and blended the inks on the Bristol smooth cardstock strip.

After coloring my images with Copic markers, I used the coordinating dies to die cut the images out. I arranged the flower images in the bottom left- hand corner and added the sentiment to complete this card.

The second card features the adorable little koala bears, which I colored with my Copic markers and used my ScanNCut to cut the image out.

The diagonal inlay strip for this card was created by ink blending Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin and a little bit of Vintage Photo on the edges.

For the third and final card in this set, I used two images from Sea Friends and arranged my image elements horizontally across an ink blended inlay strip.

Chick in Basket | SVG Files | Miss Kate Cuttables | Easter Cards

Hi there,

I’m so super excited to be a guest designer for Miss Kate Cuttables this week.

I am a huge fan of Miss Kate’s SVG files and chose to work with two of those files for my Easter inspired project today.

The adorable little chick is in the file titled Chic in Easter Basket and the sun is from a file titled Cute Sun and Clouds, both of which I choose to print then cut with my Cricut Explorer.

I used a stitched rectangle die to cut the background paper and a grassy hillside border die for the grass. Both of the patterned papers for this card are by Doodlebug Designs from the Kitten Smitten Collection.

To finish off my card, I added some foam tape to the back of my focal point images and stamped the sentiment with black Versafine ink.

Hello everyone,

I am so excited to be taking part in a video hop this week and share this super sweet llama friendship card I made.

SugarPea Llama Just Say

All of the participants in this hop made friendship theme projects to celebrate friendships and introduce you to other talented crafters. There are prizes along the way so be sure to follow along for your chance to win.

My card features a fun little scene I made using Gansai Tambi Watercolors to paint the sky with one shade of blue and paint the grass with a bright shade of green onto a watercolor panel.

I personally like to allow my watercolor panels to air dry and left this one to completely dry before I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink.

For this project I wanted the llamas to face each other and to achieve that I needed to mirror stamp one of the images of the llama.

Mirror stamping is a fun technique of stamping the original image onto a solid stamp then adding the cardstock on top thus stamping a mirror image of the original.

Both of the llamas were stamped onto Bristol smooth cardstock and colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

Dry Embossing with Cover Dies | Pink and Main Stamps

Hello everyone,

Today I’m sharing a few cards I made by dry embossing with cover dies and adding one image as the focal point of the card.

For the first card, I used a Waffle Flower Sun Sunshine Panel and dry embossed it onto a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock.

I combined the brightly ink blended sun panel with an adorable platypus image from Koalaty Friend by Pink and Main stamps. And embellished the card with Kiss Me Clay Hearts by Honey Bee Stamps.

The second card features Stargazer Backdrop die by Heffy Doodle and the Magical Unicorns image by Pink and Main.

For a little extra sparkle on this card, I added a sparkling embossing powder to the starts before ink blending with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink.

And finally for the last example, I first ink smooshed several shades of blue Distress Oxide ink onto a piece of watercolor paper. After the panel was completely dry, I dry embossed the panel with Lawn Fawn’s Rainy Backdrop. To define the embossed rain drops, I added glitter ink to each rain drop and when dry, sparkled and shined over the entire panel.

The image I used for this card is by Pink and Main called Rain Frogs, which I Copic colored. I also added a couple of swirly clouds by Heffy Doodle to finish off this card.

Today’s projects are all about rainbow and feature two of the new products from the latest Lawn Fawn release just in time for spring.

I created two similar cards in the design but totally different in approach. For the first card, I created an ink blended background using Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar, Evergreen Bough and Peacock Feathers.

Lawn Fawn Fancy Lattice Backdrop and Lawn Fawn Layered Butterflies Die combined to create Rainbow cards with Distress and Distress Oxide inked backgrounds.

Using the Lattice Backdrop die by Lawn Fawn, I die cut a panel of black cardstock which I overlaid onto the ink blended background.

For the focal point images on this card, I die cut the butterflies from vellum and the outline from watercolor cardstock which had been colored using Finetec Pearlescent Watercolors.

For the second card, I created another rainbow background this time using several colors of Distress Oxide Inks. Starting with a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock, I ink blended Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Mermaid Lagoon in stripes of bold color.

Once the panel was dry, I used the Fancy Lattice Backdrop, this time on the rainbow background panel overlaid on top of a piece of black cardstock. The butterflies on this card were die cut from black cardstock and bits and pieces from the previously die cut watercolor butterfly.

Hello everyone,

Today I am sharing an adorable St. Patrick’s Day inspired card featuring Craftin Desert Diva’s Pot of Gold stamp set.

First, I stamped out my images and slightly altered the Troll Girl’s rainbow. I wanted to create the illusion that she was sliding down the rainbow from above, but the original image ended the Rainbow at a point and that was what I wanted to change.

Using my Misti stamping tool to help me, I inked up the image and simply wiped off the lines I wanted to change. I did stamp the image a couple of times, which was easy because of the Misti stamping tool.

Then I used an E.K. Tools Journaling Pen to simply draw in the lines I envisioned for the rainbow. After Copic coloring all of the images, I used my ScanNCut to die cut all of the images.

Working on the background, I used a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock to ink blend and create green clouds with an MFT Stencil and Distress Oxide inks in Mowed Lawn and Lucky Clover.

To finish my card, I popped up the focal point images and the sentiment on fun foam and added a frame die cut out of white cardstock using a Craftin’ Desert Diva’s Inside Scalloped Rectangle Dies.

Scrapping For Less: FOTM January 2019 Card Kit | Perk Up and Start the New Year | 4 Cards from 1 Kit

Hello everyone,

Today I’m sharing the four cards I made using the Scrapping For Less: January Flavor of the Month Card Kit. The January kit is called “Perk Up and Start the New Year” and is all coffee themed. There are still some kits available for purchase here.

Card 1 – Collection One – Sketch 1

For my first card, I used the coffee cup and the humming bird from the collection one stamp set. I used my Copic markers to color up both of the images, leaving the cup image on the circle panel and fussy cutting the humming bird.

Color combinations: Cup B16, B14, B12, B00 and Coffee E00, E11, E13, E18

For the second card, I followed sketch three to create a paper layered designs for little Newton. This happens to be my most favorite card because I just adorable the color combination and of course the image of Newton.

Card 3 – Collection Three – Sketch 4

For this card, I tried my hand at creating double shaker elements and was besieged with a number of issues along the way, hence why shaker cards are not my strong suit. In the end, the card does look adorable with the shaker elements and I love it.

And finally, for the last card I used my Copic markers to color up Anya in semi neutral tones. I wanted her to stand out against some of the business of the patterned paper behind her.

Simon Says Stamp Limited Edition Valentines 2019 Kit | Stamping on Candles | Giveaway Winner

Hello everyone,

Here is one last Valentine’s Day inspired project for the Valentine’s Day Series of this year and this one is a special gift that you can create and give to someone special.

Simon Says Stamp Special Edition Valentine’s 2019 Kit featuring the adorable sloth and fox family, colored with Copic markers and heat set on a candle.

For this project I’m using two of the stamps from the Simons Says Stamp Special Edition Valentine’s Day Kit for 2019. The kit is sold out, but the stamps are available for purchase separately from the kit.

This project was inspired by the wonderfully talented Alyce Keegan from Kit and Clowder. This was a special free class that she offers to her current class subscribers each month that you stay on.

She provides a free markers 101 class on her website for everyone to checkout. I can tell you that I’ve been a subscriber for some time and the techniques and tips she has taught me are invaluable to developing my coloring skills.

For my candle projects, I created a template to help me color by stamping the image and the sentiment exactly as I would want the completed project to look.

I used my Copic markers to color in both of the images by working on a small area at a time. As tissue paper is not the most ideal paper for Copics, I took care to work in small areas to ensure that I get a nice blend between the colors.

Penny Black | Piece of My Heart Valentine’s Day card | 2019 Valentine’s Day Series Card 3

Hi everyone,

Today I’m sharing another Valentine’s Day card featuring Penny Black’s Key to My Heart stamp set. I used two of the main images from the stamp set to create this very soft and cutesy card.

I stamped my little stuffed animal image onto white smooth cardstock using Memento Tuxedo dye ink and colored him in with my Copic markers.

I used E31, E33, E35 and E37 for the main color of his body and brought in just a little E39 to darken up the shadow areas. Then I added a little E50 and E53 for the patch across his eye and finished the image by dotting all four of the colors to create a textured fur look.

For the background, I stenciled a soft cloud look by using an MFT stencil and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink onto a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock.

Once I finished inking the background, I cut the cloud panel down to 4 ¼ by 5 ½ and stamped the heart image directly on the background panel. I did color in the hearts using various shades of pink and red for some interest.

And finally I used an Altenew Fine Frame Cover dies to add a nice think black frame around my card that is slightly smaller than the card.

Gerda Steiner Designs | More Than Pie Valentine’s Day Card | Valentine’s Day 2019 Series

Hello everyone,

Today I’m sharing a quick Valentine’s Day inspired card for the Valentine’s Day Series on my YouTube Channel. This one features the adorable teddy bear from Gerda Steiner Designs’ More Than Pie Stamp Set.

I just adore how sweet he is and he is so perfect for a Valentine’s Day card. I started my card by stamping the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Neenah Solar White 80 lb. cardstock so that I can use my Copic markers to color in the image. After coloring, I used my ScanNCut to cut the image out leaving a small border.

Gerda Steiner Designs More Than Pie colored with Copic Markers and patterned paper layered sketch Valentine’s Day card.

I used Valentine’s Day paper from a paper pad I had in my stash, this one happens to be last year’s Recollections Valentine’s Day collection. I followed a sketch design to arrange my die cut papers and adhered them onto a card base. For a little dimension I added fun foam to the last patterned paper layer then added my focal point image and finished off the card with a sentiment and a few pink hearts.
