The Greeting Farm American Heroes ~ One Layer Card ~ Copic Markers ~ Veterans Day card

Hey everyone,

I made a one layer veterans inspired card using two stamps set from The Greeting Farm, perfect for thanking the veterans or those still serving in honor of Veteran’s Day that we celebrated this past Saturday! This particular card was inspired by The Greeting Farm’s November Farm Fresh Challenge – 1 layer card.

To create a one layer card that looks 3-dimensional, it’s important to stamp the images at different levels so that it looks as if the items in the front are larger than the items in the back hence the 3-dimensional perspective. This is usually achieved by stamping images, masking the forefront images and then stamping the images behind in the background.

I am also super excited that I was able to film the process video for this card and will be posting it to my You Tube Channel for those that want to see it here!

I used Copic colors to color all of the images and the Copic Combinations I used are: (There is a lot!)

Hair: Y21, Y26 and YR24

This card is for a special veteran that served in the Air force during the Vietnam War, and we want him to know that we are very thankful for his service and his sacrifice for our country. As always, thanks for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!

The Greeting Farm A Lil’ Magic ~ colored with Copic Markers ~Shaker Birthday Card

Hey everyone,

This week I’m playing along with The Greeting Farm challenge and made my very first shaker card as a challenge entry.
Ever since I started card making, I’ve been completely intimidated by shaker cards, probably because the two times I’ve tried to make one was a complete fail, but I was determined to try one more time before completely forgoing the entire idea of ever making a shaker card. And here is the final result!

I’m also SUPER excited to share that this image is colored with Copic Markers. I was super blessed to find a very kind lady that sold me her many Copic Markers at a yard sale.
So onto the card.
I honestly had zero ideas of how this card would turn out in the end and it was sort of a hodge podge of attempts at this or that. But I think in the end, it came together and it’s a super cute card.
To start, I stamped the unicorn from The Greeting Farm’s A Lil’ Magic stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink and colored the image with Copic Markers. (Excited squeal!)

Colors I used:
Hair: BV0000, BG02, RV02 and RV04 and then added Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Pen
Body: V01 as shading and colorless blender to blend

After watching a couple of YouTube videos as a refresher, on how to create a simple shaker card, I was finally ready to give it a go again. To start, I cut a lilac polka dot patterned paper from American Crafts’ Dots and Stripes collection as the background for the shaker and stamped the sentiment from the stamp set.
I die cut a frame from lilac cardstock using Gina Marie Designs’ Scalloped Stitched Rectangle die and cut an opening inside using an x-acto knife to create a frame.
I adhered the acetate using a strong adhesive to the back and added the strong foam strip to the back of the frame. Taking some sequins from my stash I added the colors I thought went well with the base of the card, which is very sparkly and glittery teal.
After I adhered the window of the card, I gave it a good shake and crossed my fingers that no sequins flies out.  YAY, all went well!

To finish the card, I die cut my unicorn image and adhered her to the bottom of the card using some foam tape for added dimension.
And that completes my very first SUCCESSFUL shaker card. It’s silly but it’s a proud moment for me! As always, thanks for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!

Greeting Farm Mini Remix Brewtiful ~ Spectrum Noir Markers ~ Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop ~ Second Card

Hey everyone,

I’m back with another entry card for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog hop, you can find more information here.

The Greeting Farm Mini Remix Brewtiful stamp colored using Spectrum Noir markers handmade card.

For this card, I again used the Greeting Farm Mini Remix Brewtiful and stamped this little girl onto a piece of Spectrum Noir paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir Markers and used my scissors to fussy cut her out.

Colors I used:

Skin: FS2 and FS3
Hair: GB8, TN7 and EB5
Dress and shoes: PP5 and DR3
Cup: CT1 and CT4, I also added a bit shimmer using Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Pen

To create the background for my card, I took a piece of watercolor paper cut down to 4” x 5.5” and used Sizzix Texture Fades Bricked Embossing folder to create a building look. Using Twinkling H2O’s in Pale Porcelain, I added a wash of color across the entire background.
To put the card together, I adhered the card panel to a pink A2 sized card base from my stash. I added the little girl with some foam adhesive for dimension, butterflies and stamped the sentiment from the stamp set to complete this card.
I’m really happy with how this card turned out and I will be entering it in the Coffee Loving blog hop for a chance to win some prizes from a group of awesome sponsors.

Thanks for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!

Greeting Farm Mini Remix Brewtiful ~ Spectrum Noir Markers ~ Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop

Hey everyone,

This week I’m starting off with a card to be entered into the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog hop, all information can be found on their website

Greeting Farm Mini Remix Brewtiful Clear Stamp colored using Spectrum Noir Markers handmade card.

For this card, I started by stamping my image from Greeting Farm’s Mini Remix Brewtiful Clear Stamp onto a piece of Spectrum Noir paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Using my Spectrum Noir markers, I colored the little girl using the following markers:

Skin: FS2 and FS3
Hair: CT1, EB1, TN1 and TN2
Dress and boots: CG3 and LG5, I added a little shimmer using the Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Pen
Cup: BG1, IG1 and IG2 and heart: PP5 and DR3

I fussy cut the image and used the Memento Black dual marker around the edges to give it a cleaner look.
To put the card together, I did some paper layering using Echo Park’s Sweet Summertime patterned paper pack. I used a lemon colored A2 sized card base, I then added a strip of green plaid paper, and I also adhered a piece of the colorful paper cut using Stitched Rounded Rectangle die from Pink and Main. I added a green scalloped circle cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities and adhered the stitched circle with my girl on top of that.
To finish the card, I used a sentiment from Unity Stamps’ Love to go set on a banner and added three enamel dots from Echo Parks Petticoat and Pinstripe collection.
I will be back tomorrow with another coffee inspired card for the Coffee Lovers Blog hop, until then!

Thanks for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!
