Hey everyone,
It’s been an interesting month or so around here, with a hurricane threat, evacuation, power outage for almost a week and two weeks of steady cleaning up after the storm. But we are super blessed that we were together as a family and endured very little damage.
This week I’ve created a card inspired by the fall season for a very special cousin for her upcoming birthday.
To start, I cut a panel of a 4.25” by 5.5” bright orange cardstock and adhered it to a standard A2 sized card base. Next, I cut a panel of a 4” by 5.25” piece of patterned paper from Heidi Grace Designs and added some foam tape for dimension.
For the background piece, I used Distress Oxide Ink in Twisted Citron for the grass, Salty Ocean for the sky and ink blended the areas onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. To finish off the background piece, I die cut the panel using a stitched rectangle die from Lawn Fawn.
Working on the focal point image, I stamped the adorable little fox from Your Next Stamp Woodland Cuties onto a piece of Spectrum Noir ultra-smooth cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink.
I used Copic markers to color the fox and add some shading to the grass on the background piece.
Fox: YR65, YR18 and E19
Blender 0, W1 and W3 added Wink of Stella Glitter Brush marker
Grass: YG01, YG03 and YG05
I fussy cut the image and adhered it to the background piece using some foam squares for dimension. To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment and used a ornate square frame die to cut it out. And that completes my card. I am entering this card into the YNS Sketch and Color challenge # 74. More details are available on their blog.
As always thanks for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!
P.S. I edit all my projects using Pic Monkey, which allows me to crop my images, add effects, adjust exposures, sharpen colors, minor touch up and add my watermark. Click here for more information
