Hello everyone,
Today I’m sharing the four cards I made using the Scrapping For Less: February Flavor of the Month Card Kit. This kit was all about baking sweets and love.
[easy-image-collage id=1509]
Card 1 – Collection One – Sketch 1
For my first card, I used the adorable Baking Marci stamp from La La Land Crafts as the main focal point image. After stamping her on Neenah 80lb. with Memento Tuxedo ink, I used my Copic markers to color up the image and a stitched rectangle die to cut out the panel.
Color combinations:
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000
Hair: E13, E15, E08, E09, E18
Lips: R20, R22
Dress: BG49, BG57, BG53, BG10
Apron: RV32, RV91, RV93
Shoes: E30, E31, E33, E35
Bowl: C7, C5, C3, C1
Card 2 – Collection Two – Sketch 2
For the second card, I followed sketch two and used Baking Luka stamp from La La Land Crafts. After coloring the image with my Copic markers, I die cut the panel using a stitched rectangle die. I decided to give the Life Changing Blender Brushes by Picket Fence a try and was so amazingly impressed at the way they add ink onto cardstock. This cardstock is not the most ideal paper for ink blending but the brush blended the ink so smoothly, it literally went on like butter.
Color combinations:
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, R11
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Hat/gloves: W7, W5, W3, W1, W00
Clothes/Shoes: B05, B04, B02
Apron: R02, R05, R08
Tray: C7, C5, C3
Cookies: E31, E33
Card 3 – Collection Three – Sketch 3
For this card, I wanted to create a single layer stamped image of three pies with the stamp in this collection. I made a quick mask using post-it full adhesive notes and added it over the stamped pie in the foreground to create the illusion of 3-dimensional pies.
Color combination:
Pies: E35, E34, E33, E31
Tin: C5, C3, C1
Card 4 – Collection Four – Sketch 4
And finally, for the last card I pulled out my Faber-Castell Polychromos Colored Pencils to color up the cute mouse from the stamp set by Scrapping For Less.
Here is the video on my YouTube Channel of the cards I made.
