Scrapping For Less: FOTM December 2018 Card Kit | Arctic Animals

Hello everyone,

Today I’m sharing the cards I made using the Scrapping For Less: December 2018 Flavor of the Month Card Kit called Animals in the Arctic. This has to be my most favorite kit thus far. It features all of my most favorite animals in the Arctic and as a bonus, the color of the kit is predominantly purple in color. Which is definitely my favorite! And now onto the cards.

Each card is created with the contents of one of the collections and follows the suggested sketch provided on the Scrapping For Less website here.

Sadly, the kit is sold out for the banana split level but there seems to be an option for the double dip kit or the Ala Carte products.

Card 1 – Collection One – Sketch # 4

For my first card, I used the super adorable polar bear (happens to be my most favorite Arctic animal) and followed sketch number four. I combined the collection one stamp with the Christmas Tree stencil to create a nighttime winter inspired scene.

I colored the bear using Copic markers, white heat embossed the sentiment and added the beautiful patterned paper to complete this card.

Card 2 – Collection Two – Sketch # 2

For the second card, I followed sketch two and decided to try my hand at monochromatic coloring of the super sweet penguin by Stamping Bella.

Card 3 – Collection Three – Sketch #3

For this and the last card of the kit, I created one-layer mini scenes, which happens to be one of my most favorite techniques in creating cards. The third card features two of the most adorable Arctic animals floating on an iceberg. I used my Copic markers to color the entire scene including the water and the sky. As a final touch I added snow with a white gel pen because it would snow in the Arctic!

Card 4 – Collection Four – Sketch #1

And finally for the last card for this kit, I stamped the sweet momma and baby fox from the Arctic Animals stamp by LDRS on Grapesicle cardstock and used my Fabre-Castell Polychromos Colored Pencil that I got from my beautiful sister for Christmas. This is my favorite card I made from this kit!
