Hero Arts November 2019 My Monthly Hero | 8 Cards from 1 Kit

Hi everyone, Today I’m sharing the eight cards I made using the Hero Arts’ November 2019 My Monthly Hero Card Kit. And let me
say that this is an amazing kit. Not only for the value but the stamps and dies in this month’s kit are absolutely stunning.

Card 2

I mainly focused on the images from the main kit in creating these cards with one exception from an add-on.
I first stamped all of the images I planned to use on Bristol smooth cardstock with black ink and heat embossed with
clear embossing powder. Since these images are tiny, I grabbed the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to quickly color
these images in, and die cut them out using the coordinating dies.

Card 4

For each card, I tried to incorporate some technique that would highlight each card from incorporating vellum, ink blending,
inlay cards or creating a custom background.

While most cards are simple in nature, they are also quick and easy to re-create or mass produce for the upcoming Holiday Season.

Card 6

The last two cards were probably my most favorite to create. The second to last card incorporates the Decorated Winter
Branches Window Fancy die add-on and simple ink blending for a stunning result. And the last card, probably my
favorite incorporates the Doorway Fancy die as an entire A2 sized card.

Happy Tuesday everyone! I am sharing one last Thanksgiving card with you before we celebrate Thanksgiving! This card is inspired

I stamped all of the images that I wanted to use onto a piece of Neenah solar white 80lb. cardstock with Memento Tuxedo dye ink
and used my Copic markers to color them in. Once the images were colored in, I used my ScanNCut to cut them out.

Part of this challenge was to incorporate plaid in the design. For my card, I used a piece of plaid patterned paper as a frame
around the focal point area.

I added some fall-inspired clouds to the background using a cloud stencil and Hero Arts inks. To complete this card, I stamped
the sentiment onto a piece of dark brown cardstock and white heat embossed it.

MFT Stamps Captivating Mandala | Easy Water-colored Background | Christmas Handmade Card

Hi everyone! It seems that my Christmas cardmaking season is off to a slow start so I thought I’d make a quick and simple
Christmas card to add to my stash.

A clean and simple Merry Christmas handmade card featuring MFT Captivating Mandala die set against an ink water colored background.

For this card, I wanted to create a bright background that would perfectly compliment the Captivating Mandala die
by My Favorite Things. I began this card by painting a bright blue background using Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide
ink and Tim Holtz’s watercolor cardstock. I did a little ink smooshing with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink
and let the panel air dry.

A clean and simple Merry Christmas handmade card featuring MFT Captivating Mandala die set against an ink water colored background.

While the background was drying, I die cut the Captivating Mandala four separate times out of white heavyweight cardstock
and stacked them together for thickness. As a final step, my helper (aka my very eager daughter) sprayed the snowflake with
Glitter Dust in Silver for a little sparkle.
After all of the components were dry, I stamped the sentiment and heat set it with red embossing powder and added the
snowflake to the front with a red piece of thread to tie in the sentiment.

Lawn Fawn Happy Harvest | Fall inspired handmade card | Copic coloring

Hi friends, I hope that your weekend is off to a great start.  I have a fall-inspired card to share with you inspired by
the current LawnFawnatics Sketch Challenge.

Lawn Fawn Happy Harvest stamp and Lawn Fawn Woodgrain backdrop stamp combined with Distress Oxide inked background for a fall-inspired, Many Thanks handmade card.

The theme for this challenge is “Guy Cards” and while this card can be for either guys or gals, I focused the color choice on
more of the darker tone shades for guys.
I began the card by stamping the images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White  80lb. cardstock with Memento Tuxedo
Black ink and used Copic Markers to color these in.

Copic Markers Combination

Scarecrow Shirt: W5, W3, W1, W0, G28, G07, G21
Scarecrow Hat: E29, E25, E23, G28, G07, G21
Overalls: B91, B93, B95, B99THE
Face: E00, E11, E13, R20, R22
Nose: YR04
Black Birds: W7, W5, W3, W1, R22 Beak: W9
Straw: Y21, E55
Steak: E57, E55
Pumpkins: YR65, YR04, YR18, E19, YG25, YG67

Lawn Fawn Happy Harvest stamp and Lawn Fawn Woodgrain backdrop stamp combined with Distress Oxide inked background for a fall inspired, Many Thanks handmade card.

After using the ScanNCut machine to cut out the images, I set those aside to work on the background. I stamped the
Woodgrain Backdrop on a kraft cardstock panel with Lawn Fawn’s Walnut dye ink and die cut a stitched circle from the top center.
On a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock, I ink blended Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin
and Ripe Persimmons Distress Oxide ink and splattered brown and white ink for added interest.

To finish this card, I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of black cardstock and heat set it with white embossing powder then die cut it with Fancy Wavy Banner and began adhering the focal point images, popped up on foam tape for a little extra dimension.

Hero Arts Color Layering Deer Stamp | Christmas 2019 Handmade Cards

Hi everyone, I hope your weekend is off to an amazing start. This card was inspired by the current A Blog Named Hero Challenge
and features two-color layering stamp sets.

Hero Arts Color Layering Deer stamp combined with Hero Arts Color Layering Christmas Tree stamp images set against a snowy ink blended background to create a beautiful Merry Christmas handmade card.

I absolutely love the Hero Arts Color Layering Deer stamp and wanted to incorporate it into this challenge titled “Nature”.
For me, when I think of nature, I always envision animals that I would find in woodlands.

Since this is a layering stamp, there are three stamps for each image each adding a distinct piece for the overall image.
For the most solid layer, I used Lawn Fawn dye ink in the shade of Butter and stamped it onto a piece of Neenah 110lb. white cardstock.
For the second layer, I stamped the image using Lawn Fawn dye ink in the shade of Doe.
And finally, for the last layer, I used Lawn Fawn dye ink in Walnut shade.
For the legs and face, I simply used Versafine Onyx black ink for a nice and dark impression.
I used the coordinating dies to die cut my image and set it aside.

Next, I used the Hero Arts Color Layering Christmas Tree stamp but this time I only used the most solid layer for a silhouette look.
After stamping the layer with Verafine Onyx black ink, I used the snowy layer stamp and heat set it with Lawn Fawn
Textured White embossing powder for a little snowy dimension.

Hero Arts Color Layering Deer stamp combined with Hero Arts Color Layering Christmas Tree stamp images set against a snowy ink blended background to create a beautiful Merry Christmas handmade card.

For the background, I took a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock and ink blended Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink towards the
bottom of the panel after masking off a snowy drift followed by Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink at the top of the panel. I spritzed the
panel with some water and Copic Opaque White ink for some interest.

I then trimmed the panel with a Hero Arts Rectangle die and added fun foam to the panel before adhering it to an A2 sized
Red Velvet by Gina K panel.

To complete this card, I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark ink and heat set it with red embossing powder by Hero Arts, then adhered the threes, popped up the deer with foam squares and added some red gems for a little sparkle.

There is still one more day left to join in on this fun challenge, check here for all of the details.

Lawn Fawn Spooktacular | Pearl Alcohol ink Background | Copic Coloring

Hello everyone, I have one last Halloween inspired card to share, albeit a little late but better late than never! This card was inspired
by the current LawnFawnatics Sketch Challenge and features several products from Lawn Fawn.

Lawn Fawn Spooktacular Stamp set colored with Copic Markers combined with Lawn Fawn Spook Fence Border, Lawn Fawn Spring Showers and Lawn Fawn Grassy Border dies set against a Pearl Alcohol inked background. Handmade Halloween card. #LawnFawn #LawnFawnatics

For this card, I wanted to create a bright green background so I pulled out the Pearl Alcohol inks by Ranger in the colors Alchemy,
Sublime and Envy. I added all of the inks onto a piece of Yupo Paper and played around with adding additional ink,
blending solution and moving the ink by blowing through a straw to create this background.

While the background was drying, I stamped all of the images with Memento Tuxedo ink onto a piece of Neenah Solar White
80lb cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers.

Copic Markers Combination

Bat: C9, C7, C5, C3, R22
Cat: C9, C7, C5, C3, R22

Once the background was dry, I added Distress Micro Glaze to seal in the color, then began working on the rest of the components.
I die cut the Spooky Fence Border, clouds from Spring Showers and Grassy Border from black cardstock, then stamped the
sentiment on the border and heat set it with white embossing powder.
Once I adhered the border to the background all there was left to do is to place the images and adhere it to the little scene.

Sugar Pea Designs Indian Summer | Give Thanks | Copic coloring

Hi everyone! I have a little fall-inspired card to share with you, featuring Sugar Pea Designs’  most adorable raccoons from Indian Summer stamp set.

Sugar Pea Designs Indian Summer stamp colored with Copic markers combined with Sugar Pea Designs Large Striped Cover Die background which was ink blended with Distress Oxide ink for a fall inspired handmade card.

I first stamped the images onto a piece of Neenah 80lb. Solar White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo ink and used Copic markers to color in the images. For the raccoons, I used all of the Warm-Grey Copic markers in a different combination, listed below. I used the ScanNCut to cut out all of the images.

Copic Color Combination

Raccoon’s Head: W7, W5, W4, W3, W2, W0
Ears: R11, W00
Mask: W9, W7, W5, W4, W3
Face: W1, W0
Hands/feet: W7, W5, W3
Belly: W3, W2, W1
Tail: W7, W5, W3
Tent: E43, E40, R39, YR14, YR15, Y02

Sugar Pea Designs Indian Summer stamp colored with Copic markers combined with Sugar Pea Designs Large Striped Cover Die background which was ink blended with Distress Oxide ink for a fall inspired handmade card.

For the background, I used one of my favorite cover dies called Large Striped Cover Plate by Sugar Pea Designs. I die cut the panel three times from Bristol smooth cardstock to allow me to build up in dimension. The most top panel, I ink blended using Carved Pumpkin on the top half and Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide ink in the bottom half. To brighten up the bottom half, I went over the area with Festive Berries Distress Oxide ink.
At this point, I had all of the elements for this card and I was ready to begin adhering the components together. After stamping the sentiment with Versamark ink, I added brown sparkle embossing powder and heat set it with my heat tool.

Sugar Pea Designs Indian Summer stamp colored with Copic markers combined with Sugar Pea Designs Large Striped Cover Die background which was ink blended with Distress Oxide ink for a fall inspired handmade card.

I added the three frames, two white and the ink blended frame to an A2 sized card base and inlaid the ink blended stripes to create some height for the panel.
At this point, all I had to do was to add the focal point images which I popped up with foam squares. And lastly, I added some shimmer on the raccoon with the Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle pen.

This card was inspired by the current Sugar Pea Designs Mix it up Challenge for October 2019.
