Lawn Fawn Beam Me Up | Distress Oxide Galaxy Background | Copic Markers

Hi everyone,

I’m back with an otherworldly card featuring aliens from the Lawn Fawn Beam Me Up stamp set and a galaxy background created with Distress Resist Spray and Distress Oxides.

First, I created the background by spritzing the Distress Resist Spray onto a piece of Distress watercolor cardstock. This spray makes it so easy and fun to create galaxy backgrounds. Once it’s dry, I can add the layers of Distress Oxide ink to begin building the galaxy background.

When I’m happy with the outcome of the background, I’ll put that aside to work on creating the focal point images.

I stamped all the images onto a piece of Neenah solar white 80lb. cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Dye Ink and colored them in with Copic Markers.

Color combination I used

Green Alien YG7, YG5, YG3
Yellow Alien Y17, Y15, Y13
Red Alien R29, R27, R24
Blue Alien B4, B2, B1
Purple Alien V17, V15, V12

When the coloring was finished, it was time assemble all of the die cut components onto the galaxy background.
