Hey everyone,
This week I continue with projects for teacher’s appreciation week with two adorable cards I made for two special teachers.
This time I used a stamp and die from Lawn Fawn called Thanks a bushel. I started by stamping the basket of apples and individual apples onto some Spectrum Noir paper with black tuxedo Memento dye ink.
Using my Spectrum Noir markers, I colored my apples in red and green. Here is the list of markers I used:
Red apples: CR8, DR2 and DR5
Green apples: DG1, CG3, IG1
Leaves: CG4 and DG4
Basket: TN3, TN5 and TN7 the rim of the basket was colored using TN8 and EB5
To create a card, I cut the coordinating color cardstock to 4 inch by 8 inch and scored it at 4 inch mark so that my card base is a perfect square at 4” x 4”. I also cut some coordinating plaid paper down to 3.75” x 3.75” and added the stitching with Stitched Borders die from Lawn Fawn.
I adhered the plaid paper and the basket of apples with some foam squares for added dimension. I embossed a sentiment from the set with black embossing powder and stamped a message on the inside that reads “for being a great teacher!”
And that completes a couple of very simple, yet very adorable teacher appreciation cards.
Thanks for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!
