Hello everyone,
I’ve got another super adorable teacher card this week featuring the Lawn Fawn So Owlsome stamp set paired with an older Lawn Fawn stamp set called Thanks a Bushel.
I decided to make two cards one in red color combinations and one in green color combinations. To begin creating my cards, I first stamped all of the images from So Owlsome and Thanks a Bushel onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80 lb. cardstock with Memento Tuxedo black ink because they are both Copic friendly products.
Using my Copic markers I colored all of the images using the following color combinations:
Owl: E37, E35, and E31 outer part of the body.
E53, E51 and R20 on the face and belly
Cap: C9, C7, C5, C3
Apples: YG05, YG03, YG21, R39, R29, R24, G28, YG63
Barrel: E, 27, E25, E23, E21
I used the coordinating dies for each set to die cut the images out and then set them aside to work on the rest of the card.
To create the card base, I used one of the small apple stamps and randomly stamped the entire card base to create my own background. Since I used kraft cardstock for the card base, I thought I’d pull out my colored pencils and color those images in.
I wanted to create a mini scene for the images I previously colored and using several dies and Distress inks I created a sky and hill backdrop for my adorable images.
At this point, I was ready to assemble all of the elements by either popping them on foam tape for a bit of dimension or adding liquid glue and adhering them flat.
Below is a link to my YouTube Channel showing how I created these two teacher cards.
That’s all for me today, thanks for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!
