Rudolph Christmas Card ~ Miss Kate Cuttables SVG Files ~ Cricut

Hey everyone,

It seems like it’s been forever and a day since I’ve used my Cricut to make a card and I thought I’d give it a try since I’ve been collecting some really adorable SVG files for Christmas.

Cricut die cuts – Reindeer and presents SVG files from Miss Kate Cuttables - Christmas handmade card.

To create this card, I used several patterned papers, all in the traditional red and green Christmas colors and two SVG cut files. The reindeer and the stacks of Christmas presents are both from Miss Kate Cuttables.

After cutting all of the pieces, I adhered all of the layers together and added some red glitter Stickles for Rudolph’s nose and gold glitter Stickles for the bell, this is a Christmas card after all and there should be glitter.
To complete this card, I layered the patterned paper which I cut using some of my favorite dies and added my focal point images using foam tape for dimension. And that will complete another Christmas card!
This card was inspired by Miss Kate’s December Challenge and Cardz TV Anything Goes Challenge!

As always, thanks for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!

Cute Critters by Emma

OK, so this was a card designed, created, and crafted by my Jr Designer in training, Emmanushka. This 7 year old little spitfire is always in my crafting room, getting into stuff, looking at ways to repurpose things, and crafting something from pretty much anything. She picked out the background papers, and where she wanted the stamps to go, and colored the card. All I did was stamp the paper, and some minor assembly. The rest was left to her imaginative mind!

Which I have to admit…came out pretty darn good. Even in the photo staging, she chose the props and the little string of lights to “give it some bling”. She came up with the idea, and concept of the card and which colors she wanted to use. She used my set of Spectrum Noir markers and cardstock, and picked out the design from my Lawn Fawn collection.

So this was a cute little Birthday Card for one of her classmates created by Emmanushka that I am entering into the LawnFawnatics challenge.
Be sure to leave her a little comment or a thumbs up and let her know how she did as Jr Craft Master in the Making!

As always thanks for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!

Craftin Desert Diva ~ Apple of my Eye Digi Image ~ Copic Colored

Hey everyone,

Finally back in the craft room after what seems like an eternity to make a fall inspired card. Being in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, we evacuated during Hurricane Irma a couple of weeks ago, and it took me a couple more weeks to get back to a “normal” schedule!
This card is inspired by the Craftin Desert Divas Monthly Social Media Challenge for the month of September.

Craftin Desert Diva Apple of my eye digi stamp colored with Copic Markers and patterned paper handmade card.

I used a Craftin Desert Diva Digi image to create this card and colored it using Copic makers. I also used a piece of patterned paper from Crate Paper’s Pretty Party paper pad and a piece of Bristol smooth card stock with a water color background. I’m slowly finding my craftin’ mojo and hope to get back into the normal swing of things very soon!
Until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!

Welcome to my blog

Hey everyone,

It’s been in the works for a couple of months now and here it is. Creative Pixie Designs blog.

Deciding to start a blog was the easy part, the logistics of designing the blog was the more challenging part, especially if web design is not your cup of tea. But nevertheless, a few YouTube videos later, a few late night sessions of web designing and enlisting help from technology savvy folk, here is the end result.

This blog is intended to be a creative outlet for me and share my love of handmade paper crafting. It all started with wanting to scrapbook my kids’ pictures but I quickly found my interest in card making and recently adding a Cricut machine to my arsenal of crafting supplies-the possibilities have become endless.

In the next phase (hopefully a couple of weeks), I should have a YouTube channel up and running that will accompany the blog posts.

I am also working on adding a store where I will list items for sale and an option for custom designing handmade cards and unique gifts. So stop by often and check out the new things that I will be adding.

Until next time…sprinkle a little creativity on your day!!
