Lawn Fawn Be Hap-pea and Mini Picture Frames | Birthday Card | Copic coloring

Hello everyone, I have an adorable birthday card to share featuring Lawn Fawn’s Be Hap-pea stamp and Mini Picture Frames.

Lawn Fawn Be Hap-pea stamp combined with Lawn Fawn Mini Picture Frames dies set against Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick ink blended background birthday handmade card.

I began the card by stamping all of the images with Memento Tuxedo ink onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock.
I used Copic markers to color in all of the images and ScanNCut to cut them out.

When I do not have coordinating dies, typically I will stamp out several extra images and cut out plenty for another time.

Peas: YG07, YG05, YG03, YG01, YG00
Blue Hat: B04, B01
Yellow Hat: Y06, Y02, Y00

I created the background by ink blending Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and then created some splatters with watered down Copic Opaque White ink and black acrylic paint. I made another splatter background with watered
down Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink and black acrylic paint.

Next, I worked on die cutting all of the components for the card. Using the Mini Picture Frames, I die-cut black cardstock, the white splattered background and several pieces of white cardstock to build up the frame for dimension. Using the largest Lawn Fawn
Rectangle die, I die cut the ink blended background panel.

To finish this card, I adhered all of the elements using liquid adhesive and stamped the sentiment using clear embossing ink and
set it with white embossing powder.

Avery Elle Christmas Magic | Christmas in July Hop | Craft Collab Event

Welcome to my stop on the Christmas in July Hop – A Craft Collab Even on YouTube. For my Christmas inspired card, I made an
inlay scene card featuring Avery Elle’s Christmas Magic.

I began the card by stamping the images with Memento Tuxedo ink onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. I used Copic
markers to color in all of the images and die cut them with coordinating dies.

Hooves: N9, N7, N5
Mane: RV17, RV14, RV13, RV11
Snowman: N3, N1, N0, Blender
Scarf and Saddle: BG49, BG45, BG53, BG10

For the background, I blended Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks onto Bristol Smooth white
card stock. At the top of the panel, I added Black Soot Distress Oxide ink to darken the panel up for a night time look. I then
splattered the panel with Copic Opaque White ink for some snow effects.

To begin assembling this card, I die cut a frame from the background panel using two stitched dies by Lawn Fawn and then added
fun foam to the frame. I adhered the frame to an A2 sized white card base then adhered the inner part of the background flat with liquid adhesive.

To really set a nighttime Christmas scene, I die cut a Fall border die by Craftin Desert Diva from black glitter cardstock and adhered
it to the background. All I had left to do to complete this card, was to adhere the focal images on fun foam and add the sentiment!

Lawn Fawn On the Beach | Beach Scene Card | Copic Coloring

I hope everyone’s summer is off to a great start as much as mine is! I love being a preschool teacher and I miss my
kiddos throughout the summer but it’s definitely nice to get the summer off and sleep in (once in a while).

Lawn Fawn On the Beach stamp combined with Lawn Fawn Mermaid for You stamp to create a fun summer beach handmade card.

I’m finally getting into the stash of the new Lawn Fawn stuff I’ve had sitting on my desk and thought it was the perfect time to
create a beach-inspired summer card with those adorable images.

I created the little beach scene with Lawn Fawn’s On the Beach stamp set and brought in a few of the older stamps and dies.

I began the card by stamping all of the images with Memento Tuxedo ink onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. I used Copic markers to color in all of the images and ScanNCut to cut them out.

Lawn Fawn On the Beach stamp combined with Lawn Fawn Mermaid for You stamp to create a fun summer beach handmade card.

The background elements for this card are all created by ink blending with Distress Oxide inks onto Bristol Smooth cardstock.
For the sky background, I blended Salty Ocean toward the top of the panel and then added Tumbled Glass to blend that out toward the bottom of the panel. After creating the other elements, I did go over the entire background with Chipped Sapphire to darken the
sky for some contrast against the waves.
Next, I ink blended the beach with Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber toward the top. And then I worked on ink blending one
of the waves with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean. I used Mustard Seed and Wild Honey for the sun, Walnut stain for the palm
tree base and finally Mowed Lawn and Lucky Clover for the palm leaves before die cutting all of the elements.

To finish this card, I adhered all of the elements using liquid adhesive and stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink
and set it with clear embossing powder.

For my stop on the hop, I created a very summer inspired tropical birthday card featuring Avery Elle Tweet Tweet stamp set.
I used my Copic markers to color in the images and die cut them using coordinating dies. Once I finished coloring,
I set the images aside to work on the background.

Copic color combinations for

For this card, I wanted to create a tunnel card with at least two top layers and one background layer. For the bottom layer,
I ink blended a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock with Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink and die cut it with a starburst die
from Avery Elle. Unfortunately, the detail of the die was lost because of the images.

For the next panel, I used a piece of patterned paper from the Summer Days Collection by Echo Park, then added the
topmost layer which I ink blended another piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide.

To create this card, I began by adhering all of the panels, stamping the sentiment and arranging all of the images to the
center of the card.

Today’s blog post is a little bit different than my usual post (sort of). As part of a C.A.S.E. the Creator, a Craft Collab event,
I am casing a fellow crafter and creating a project inspired by her work. You can see some of her work here!

For my project today, I Insta-stalked her page and found a ton of bright, cheery and adorable projects.
I certainly hope I did this C.A.S.E. card justice.

I stamped out the image from Look for Stars stamp set by Craftin’ Desert Diva and extended the swing rope by hand drawing it in.
Using my Scan and Cut (love that thing) I cut the image out and colored it in using my Copic markers.

I wanted the background to be very bright and cheery, so I used an MFT Cloud Stencil to create yellow clouds with
Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink.
While I had the Distress Oxide Inks out, I inked up a piece of cardstock with Mowed Lawn and another with Walnut Stain,
which I die cut using Craftin Desert Diva’s Outdoor Landscape #2 Dies.

To finish this card, I adhered all of the elements using liquid adhesive, stamped the sentiment from

For just a little more cutesy touch, I added three hearts by Doodlebug.

Hero Arts Color Layering Stamps | Creating Backgrounds | 5 Card Examples

Hi everyone,

In today’s video and blog post, I’m sharing five cards featuring Hero Arts’ Color Layering Stamps. For these cards, I’m sharing several ways to incorporate subtle background techniques so that the stamped image remains the star of the card.

For the first card, I am using Hero Arts Color Layering Monarch Butterfly stamp, set onto a lightly inked background.

For the Monarch Butterfly, I am using Hero Arts Bold ink in Summer Sky for the lightest shade, Indigo for the mid-shade and finally black dye ink for the outline and the darkest shade.

For the second card, I decided to create a stamped background by using a Hero Arts Ring Bold Prints Background stamp with Lawn Fawn Mermaid ink. This background reminds me of sea bubbles and is paired perfectly with the Hero Arts Color Layering Gold Fish.

For the “Gold Fish” I used Altenew Crip Inks in Frosty Pink for the lightest shade, Coral Berry for the mid-shade and Grapevine for those small details in the darkest shade.

For this card, I followed the same card design as the previous card, changing only the cardstock color for the background panel. This time I chose a teal cardstock and did some tone on tone stamping with the Lawn Fawn Mermaid ink.

To complete this card, I am using the Hero Arts Color Layering Betta Fish with Lawn Fawn dye inks in Narwhal for the outline, Wild Rose for the most solid stamp, and Lobster ink for all of the details.

This was the most involved card out of all of the cards I made because I stamped out several colors of the Color Layering Rose by Hero Arts.

Yellow Rose: Altenew Crip inks in Buttercream (light), Warm Sunshine (medium) and Caramel Toffee (dark)
Pink Rose: Frosty Pink (light), Coral Berry (medium) and Ruby Red (dark)
Teal Rose: Lawn Fawn inks in Minty Fresh (light), Merman (medium) and Peacock (dark)
Purple Rose: Lawn Fawn inks in Fresh Lavender (light), Grape Soda (medium) and Juice Box (dark)

And for the last and final card for today, I am creating a little sea scene using a Hero Arts Reef Border and Fancy Frame Die.

After I die cut the Reef Border from Neenah 110 lb., I added several layers of cardstock to pop up the die cut and adhered it to an inked background.

Doodlebug Simply Spring Collection | 15 Cards from 1 Collection

Hello everyone,

In today’s video and blog I’m sharing the 15 cards I made using the Doodlebug Simply Spring Collection. Doodlebug collections are perfect for creating quick and easy cards and what I love most about using a collection is that all of the components coordinate perfectly, allowing you to create a cohesive group of cards.

I did bring in several pieces of cardstock that I thought coordinated really well but in all honesty, I had enough patterned paper from the paper pad to not need to bring in any additional cardstock.

I created two similarly designed cards at a time, each time only changing the elements or orientation.

I used several dies from my stash to help me cut a lot of the elements I used on these cards.

For the last three cards, I focused on using the smaller pieces of patterned paper that I had left over to show how you can incorporate all of the pieces left to really stretch out the supplies.

I’m so excited to be a guest designer for this month’s kit for Scrapping For Less. Today, I’m sharing the four cards I made using the Flavor of the Month May Card Kit. This month’s kit is all about Myths and Legends.

I’ve been a long-time fan of the Scrapping For Less Card Kits because the value of their kits far supersedes their price and you always get enough of a variety within each collection but still within the theme.

Card 1 – Collection One – Sketch 1

For the first card, I colored the adorable Nessie from Kindred Stamps with Copic markers and added the image to the patterned paper with waves. The only thing left to do to complete this card was to add the sentiment and a few sequences from the collection.

Card 2 – Collection Two – Sketch 3

I simply adore this image of the Pegasus by Sunny Studio Stamps. I used the patterned paper from this collection and followed sketch three to create the background. After Copic coloring the image, I added it to a stenciled sky background to complete this card.

Card 3 – Collection Three – Sketch 2

The feel of this collection reminded me of garden fairies and I colored the images of the two fairies to reflect the softness of the patterned paper. Next, I chose several pieces of patterned paper from this collection and added a little bit of the Sour Apple cardstock for contrast.

And finally, for the last card which happens to be my favorite from the kit, I colored the adorable gnomes with Copic markers to reflect the bold patterned paper. I added a piece of vellum to the background to soften the brightness so that my little gnomes are still at the center of the card.

Scrapping For Less April 2019 Card Kit | Spring Critters | 4 Cards from 1 kit

Hello everyone, today I’m sharing the four cards I made using the Scrapping For Less: April Flavor of the Month Card Kit. This month’s kit was full of cute critters and spring themed papers and embellishments just in time for this gorgeous weather.

Card 1 – Collection One – Sketch 4

For my first card, I created a mini scene using Just Bee-cause stamp set by Sunny Studio Stamps. I used my Copic markers to color the images after I free-hand drew the tree branch. The patterned papers fit perfectly with the spring theme to complete this card.

For the second card, I used the gorgeous Journey of the Heart patterned papers by Gina K Designs and Let Things Grow stamp set by Pink Fresh Studios to create this elegant card.

Card 3 – Collection Three – Sketch 2

This happens to be my most favorite collection and card from this kit. I colored all of the images using my Copic markers and arranged them on top of some of the most adorable paper in this kit. To finish this card, I added glitter over all of the images.

Lawn Fawn Hedgehugs and Slide on Over Die | Hedgehog Hollow Video Hop

Hi everyone,

I’m so excited to be participating in the Hedgehog Hollow Hop, A Craft Collab’s event on YouTube. This is a video hop with many crafters creating projects with a hedgehog theme.

A spring inspired card created with Lawn Fawn Hedgehugs Stamp and Slide on Over Dies, colored with Copic markers and set against a mini forest scene.

For my card today, I used several products from Lawn Fawn but the main focus of this card is the slider mechanism as well as the adorable hedgehogs.

I started my card by stamping all of the images onto Neenah Solar White 80lb. cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and used my Copic markers to color all of the images in.

Next, I used the coordinating dies (if I had them) or my ScanNCut to cut out all of the images. I probably went a little overzealous on the number of images I stamped and colored, but I’d rather have a choice of too much than not enough.

For the background, I’ve used several pieces of patterned paper from the Spring Fling Collection paper by Lawn Fawn and die cuts to create a mini forest-scene.

And finally, to create the slider in the card, I used a die by Lawn Fawn that cuts out the perfect slider channel for a fun interactive element. All there was left to do was to adhere the images, add a sentiment and a white frame around the entire card for a finished look.
