Hey everyone,
I’m back this week with a Mother’s Day inspired card being that Mother’s Day in about three weeks away. To get started, I stamped Stampendous’ Rose Bouquet roses, leaves and glass jar on some Spectrum Noir paper. This paper is recommended for alcohol based markers as it allows for ease of blending and minimizes the potential for bleed through. Using my Spectrum Noir markers, I colored all the images and cut them with the coordinating die set.
Here is the list of marker I used
Roses: CR8, DR3, DR5, DR7
Leaves: CG2, CG3, CG4, DG3
Vase: BT1, BT2, IB1, IG1, IG2
Stems: CG2, CG3
Since the bouquet image when assembled was relatively large, I choose to make this card an A7 sized card. I wanted my card to have a frame around the image and since I do not own a die cut in the size I needed, I had to get a little creative. I cut a piece of red cardstock down to 5” by 7”, using Lawn Fawns Stitched Scalloped Borders die, I cut out the middle to create a frame border for my card.
I adhered the image partly flat on the card and partly on foam tape to add dimension. Using Lawn Fawns Happy Happy Happy sentiments and die set, I die cut the scripty “happy” in black cardstock three times and glued it together with multi medium matte.
To complete the card, I embossed the rest of the sentiment with white embossing powder on black cardstock, cut it using a banner die from Lawn Fawn and added a few red sequence pieces, as well as a little shimmer on the roses for a little bling.
That completes this card and I hope you found it inspiring for Mother’s Day.
Thanks for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!
