Hi crafty friends, I am so excited to be a guest designer on the Scrapping For Less blog using the Flavor of the Month Card Kit for August 2020 called Bubbles Galore.
Bubbles! Who doesn’t love playing with bubbles? Some may think they are for children put take out a bottle of bubbles and just see how many people would love to chase one down or wait for it to land on your finger so you can pop it! This month’s kit is all about bubbles of all kinds…so grab a bottle of bubbles or go soak in a bubble bath and hop along as you see what the Design Team and guest designer have to share! You can find this month’s kits under the Card Kits tab on the home page of the website. Make sure you also enter our Raffle copter for a chance to win a prize.
I made six cards from the four collections but there was plenty more to go, I just needed more time! Isn’t that something that we all need???!!!
On most of the cards, I began with a sketch design from my collections of card sketches but, the beauty of card sketches is that you can follow it exactly or use it as a jumping-off point and see where the design takes you.
I am also a bit of a paper hoarder and I die cut out the centers of the pattern papers that would be covered up by another piece. Who wants to waste all of the glorious pattern paper??
I tried to incorporate most of the elements of the kit for inspiration, but not over-do each card with embellishments. I really wanted the image and the pattern paper to stand out on each card.
My two favorite stamps from this kit are the Rubber Duckie from the Bubbles in the Tub stamp and the Chicken from the Blowing Bubble stamp, both by Scrapping For Less and I made a total four cards with just those two stamps.
This card kit, perfectly fit my design aesthetic and I am beyond grateful to have been asked to be a guest designer for this months’ Flavor of the Month Card Kit.
I encourage you to follow along on the Hop to
