Hi crafty friends, I hope you are having a great week and looking forward to the weekend! I know I sure am. It has been a few long and exhausting weeks. As a Floridian, I prepared for Hurricane Ian to make land-fall near my home. Thankfully, my area was spared, but my heart breaks for the neighbors south of me who lost so much. It’s very conflicting to feel thankful and devasted at the same time. However, it is heartwarming to see our communities come together to help those most affected by this destructive storm.
One way I cope with stress is to take time and color. Lately, I’ve been spending a little extra time coloring some of my older stamp sets. I chose two stamps from MFT Stamps to create a fall-inspired grateful card.
I stamped and colored several images from MFT Stamps’ BB Harvest Mouse and Fall Friends (discontinued) with my Copic Markers.
Copic Color Combinations
Mouse: W5, W3, W1, W0
Shirt: YR23, Y15, Y13
Pants: B29, B24
Scarecrow: YR12, YR21, YR31
Shirt: YG17, YG23, YG21
Pants: B29, B24, B23
Hat: E29, E25, E23
Barrel: E23, E21
Apples: R27, R24, R22
Pumpkins: YR18, YR04, Y38, E23
Red Leaf: R39, R29, R17, R14
Green Leaf: EYG17, YG25, YG23, YG21
For the background, I quickly water-colored a slimline die-cut with yellow and orange watercolors. Then, with green watercolor, I painted a small panel for the grass.
I attached the images with foam adhesive or glue dots, stamped the large sentiment, and heat embossed with black embossing powder.
I hope you enjoyed my card today, as always, thank you so much for stopping by; until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!
