Fred She Said Designs Christmas Cardinal

Good morning crafty friends! It’s the first Sunday in December and that means it’s time for another Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge.

This month we are sponsored by Fred She Said Designs. I used this lovely image called Christmas Cardinal to create my design team project.

To begin my card, I printed the image onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb. cardstock and colored the entire scene with Copic Markers.

Copic Color Combination

Bird: R14, R17, R35, R39
Feet: W7, W5, W3
Holly Leaves: G28, G07, G05, G14
Holly Berries: R39, R27, R24, R22, R20
Branch: E29, E25, E23
Fence: W9, W7, W5, W3, W1

After coloring the scene, I used a stitched rectangle die to trim the entire panel to slightly smaller than A2 size. Next, I heat embossed the sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder onto a scrap of black card stock and die-cut it with a sentiment strip die.

To finish my card, I adhered the top panel with fun foam to a top folding white card base.
