For the second set of four cards I made using the My Monthly Hero for June 2019, I focused on ink blending in most of the cards.
This time, I brought in the stencil for one of the cards and used the add-on products as well.

For the fifth card, I used the Leaves and Vines Fancy Die add-on to create a perfect backdrop against the green
cardstock for the focal image of the elephant to stand out on.

For the next card, I inked up the background first using Twisted Citron. Then I overlayed the stencil from the main kit and
inked the background with several shades of Distress Oxide inks. After all that inking, I felt that the only thing this
card needed was the sentiment.

For the seventh card, I used the little flamingo image set against a dry embossed background with
the Leaves and Vines Fancy die. For some reason, this card totally gave me a 50’s vibe.
Maybe because of the frame, I’m not sure!

For the last card, I made using the Hero Arts June 2019 kit, I used the Jungle Frames Fancy die to die cut a piece of
Bristol Smooth cardstock and ink blend it with several shades of green Distress Oxides inks. I then created a
little scene with several images and a sentiment.

Hello everyone,

Today I’m sharing the four cards I made using the Scrapping For Less: March Flavor of the Month Card Kit. I really enjoyed the versatility of this kit and the contents it provided to make four very different celebratory cards.

Card 1 – Collection One – Sketch 3

For my first card, I used the ice cream image by Scrapping For Less. I used my Copic markers to color the image and my Scan N Cut Machine to cut the image out leaving a small white border.

Card 2 – Collection Two – Sketch 2

For the second card, I decided to make a shaker card. Now shaker cards are not my strong suit but I think I managed to make a decent shaker using the papers and ephemera by Scrapping For Less.

Card 3 – Collection Three – Sketch 4

This was a very special card to make for it has an intended recipient. I loosely followed sketch number 4 for this card and created half ovals instead of diamond-shaped elements. I colored the baby images by Your Next Stamp with Copic markers and cut them out using my Scan N Cut machine.

Card 4 – Collection Four – Sketch 2

And finally, for the last card, I used the gold speckled acetate on top of the cut apart provided in my collection to create an elegant and sweet card.

Hello everyone,

Today I’m sharing the cards I made using the Scrapping For Less: December 2018 Flavor of the Month Card Kit called Animals in the Arctic. This has to be my most favorite kit thus far. It features all of my most favorite animals in the Arctic and as a bonus, the color of the kit is predominantly purple in color. Which is definitely my favorite! And now onto the cards.

Each card is created with the contents of one of the collections and follows the suggested sketch provided on the Scrapping For Less website here.

Sadly, the kit is sold out for the banana split level but there seems to be an option for the double dip kit or the Ala Carte products.

Card 1 – Collection One – Sketch # 4

For my first card, I used the super adorable polar bear (happens to be my most favorite Arctic animal) and followed sketch number four. I combined the collection one stamp with the Christmas Tree stencil to create a nighttime winter inspired scene.

I colored the bear using Copic markers, white heat embossed the sentiment and added the beautiful patterned paper to complete this card.

 

 

Card 2 – Collection Two – Sketch # 2

For the second card, I followed sketch two and decided to try my hand at monochromatic coloring of the super sweet penguin by Stamping Bella.

Card 3 – Collection Three – Sketch #3

For this and the last card of the kit, I created one-layer mini scenes, which happens to be one of my most favorite techniques in creating cards. The third card features two of the most adorable Arctic animals floating on an iceberg. I used my Copic markers to  color the entire scene including the water and the sky. As a final touch I added snow with a white gel pen because it would snow in the Arctic!

 

Card 4 – Collection Four – Sketch #1

And finally for the last card for this kit, I stamped the sweet momma and baby fox from the Arctic Animals stamp by LDRS on Grapesicle  cardstock and used my Fabre-Castell Polychromos Colored Pencil that I got from my beautiful sister for Christmas. This is my favorite card I made from this kit!

Hello everyone,

Today I’m sharing the four cards I created using the March Flavor of the Month Card Kit by Scrapping for Less following the March Sketch Sheet provided by Scrapping for Less.

The first card features the stamp and papers from collection # 4 and I am using sketch #1 for the layout. To start, I stamped the adorable Ice Cream Chicks by Stamping Bella onto a piece of Copic friendly cardstock. I learned how to color on Neenah Solar White 80 lb. and that is the paper I always use for Copic coloring.

All of the papers for this card are from the Happy Hooray Collection by Pebbles except for the green panel which is from My Favorite Things.

For the second card, I am using the stamp and papers from collection #1 and sketch #2. I stamped the ice cream from Lawn Fawn Treat Yourself Stamp onto a piece of Copic friendly cardstock and colored my image using Copic Markers. I did a little masking so that my spoon is inside the ice cream container.

Copic color combinations:

Ice Cream: YG6, YG5, YG01
Spoon: C9, C5

Of all the sketches for this card kit, this one gave me the most trouble. I’ve never utilized tags on a card before and I was second guessing myself until almost the end when it started coming together. And although this is not a typical card for my style or the color combinations but I really love the end result.

For the third card, I am using the Ice Cream Buttons by Buttons Galore from collection #2. First, I cut the tabs off with my wire snips so that I could adhere the buttons flat with adhesive. Then, following sketch #3, I added the paper layers with liquid glue or with fun foam for some dimension.

This card was definitely my most favorite card design and I think the buttons were a perfect addition for this card layout.
For my final card, I am using collection #3 featuring Ice Cream Marci by La La Land and papers from the Beach Babe Collection by Pink and Main. This very bright and cheery patterned paper collection has become one of my favorites. I will definitely be order the entire paper pad.

After stamping and coloring the image using my Copic Markers, I used a stitched oval die to cut out the main focal point image. Putting this card together I followed sketch # and finished it off with a sentiment from the Year 1 Sentiment Stamp by Scrapping For Less.
