St. Patrick’s Day cards using Cricut

Hey everyone,

Today I have two little cards that are St. Patrick’s Day inspired. Even though St. Patrick’s Day was two weeks ago, these two little guys were made to be submitted to another bloggers mail call. This will be my first card that I participate with and I think it turned out super cute.

The first card was created using my Cricut and various Recollections colored paper. The little Leprechaun Teddy Bear comes from Teddy Bear Parade cartridge and was cut at 1.80”x 2.56”. I adhered all of the pieces with tacky glue and popped his on some foam dots for dimension. He is sitting on top of a Squared Loop Design Label from Elegant Edges cartridge.  This piece was cut at 3.06” x 3.74” to make it look more like a rectangle. Using a four leaf clover from Lawn Fawn stamp set called Plan on it: Holidays and leaf green archival ink, I stamped it to design a background of sorts. If I had to do it over again, I think I would have used black ink instead.

In any event, I adhered the frame with foam tape to add a little more dimension to the card. Using lime green card stock I adhered it to an A2 card base, then I adhered a piece of patterned paper cut at 4” x 5.25” to complete the card. The patterned paper is from Recollections Christmas paper pad called Sugar plum.

Since I did not have a St. Patrick’s Day sentiment to stamp, and for some odd reason I specifically wanted the card to read “Lots O’ Luck”, I got a little creative and printed it on cardstock from Microsoft word. And that completes my first St. Patrick’s Day card.

The second card was made using again my Cricut and various Recollections papers. The cute little leaping Leprechaun comes from the Simply Charmed cartridge and was cut at 1.65” x 2.33”.

Using a pearled green Bazzill paper I cut the Scallop Oval label from the Elegant Edges cartridge at 2.48” x 3.18” with a dark green base paper underneath.

The patterned paper come from Authenituque paper pad called Emerald and I used the little clover in a row paper that I adhered to my A2 card base.

The sentiment I used was created using my Cricut machine and 0.4 tip black pen. (My first go at it and I think it turned out pretty good). And then I cut the label from Heritage cartridge.

I adhered all the pieces and added a little green ribbon to add some interest to the card.
