Penny Black | Piece of My Heart Valentine’s Day card | 2019 Valentine’s Day Series Card 3

Hi everyone,

Today I’m sharing another Valentine’s Day card featuring Penny Black’s Key to My Heart stamp set. I used two of the main images from the stamp set to create this very soft and cutesy card.

I stamped my little stuffed animal image onto white smooth cardstock using Memento Tuxedo dye ink and colored him in with my Copic markers.

I used E31, E33, E35 and E37 for the main color of his body and brought in just a little E39 to darken up the shadow areas. Then I added a little E50 and E53 for the patch across his eye and finished the image by dotting all four of the colors to create a textured fur look.

For the background, I stenciled a soft cloud look by using an MFT stencil and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink onto a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock.

Once I finished inking the background, I cut the cloud panel down to 4 ¼ by 5 ½ and stamped the heart image directly on the background panel. I did color in the hearts using various shades of pink and red for some interest.

And finally I used an Altenew Fine Frame Cover dies to add a nice think black frame around my card that is slightly smaller than the card.
