Hero Arts CL Christmas Tree with Lawn Fawn Into the Woods~ Christmas Tag~Copic Colored~Challenge entry

Hey everyone,

So I seem to be on a Christmas roll as last week I completed my first Christmas card and this week I made some Christmas tags for the upcoming season. They are fairly simple but I think they are absolutely adorable! These tags are inspired by A Blog Named Hero Challenge.

First I die cut all of the tags from a piece of Neenah Solar White Smooth 80 lb cardstock, but if I had to do it over, I would have cut it from a 110 lb cardstock, as the 80 lb is not as sturdy as I would like the tag to be…. Live and learn!
Next, using the MISTI tool positioner, I stamped the Christmas tree from the Hero Arts’ Color Layering Christmas Tree stamp set directly onto all of the tags using various green dye inks. The last tree layer was stamped with Versamark ink and Hero Arts’ white embossing powder to mimic snow on the Christmas tree.

Next, I began working on the focal point image and I choose to add a baby deer from Lawn Fawn’s Into the Woods stamp set. I Copic colored the images before fussy-cutting them out.

Copic colors I used: E33, E35,E37and R20

I also used white gel pen to add three white dots on his body.

To complete the tags, I stamped the sentiment from the Hero Arts’ Color Layering Christmas Tree stamp set using Hero Arts’ Black dye ink, adhered the baby deer onto some foam adhesive for dimension, added a few gems for a little bling, and looped some matching twine on top of the tags.

These tags as simple as they may be are perfect to add to the teacher’s gift or student gift exchange!
