Lawn Fawn So Owlsome | Thanks Teacher Line Border Die | Copic Marker | Teacher Card

Hello everyone,

I had an opportunity to get into my craft room recently and play with some of the new Fall/Winter 2018 Lawn Fawn products to create an adorable owl teacher card.

Lawn Fawn So Owlsome Stamp set, Thanks Teacher Line border die and Knit Picky Fall Collection Paper pad teacher card.

I stamped the three owls, an apple, tree branch and the glasses onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80 lb. cardstock using Memento Tuxedo ink and colored them in with my Copic markers.

Color combination I used:
Owls: E37, E35, and E31 outer part of the body.
E53, E51 and R20 on the face and belly.
YR04 and YR02 on the feet and beak.
Apple: R27, R24 and R22
Tree Branch: E27, E25, E23 and E21

Lawn Fawn So Owlsome Stamp set, Thanks Teacher Line border die and Knit Picky Fall Collection Paper pad teacher card.

To assemble my card, I die cut a few different patterned papers from the new Knit Picky Fall Collection using a stitched rectangle die, a stitched hillside border die and outside in stitched scalloped rectangle die. I also used the new Thanks Teacher line border die which I die cut using black glittered cardstock and added as my sentiment across the center of the focal point panel.

Check out the link below for the full tutorial on how I created this sweet teacher card!

Thanks so much for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!

Doodlebug Design So Much Pun | 10 cards from 1 Collections

Hello everyone,

I’ve been wanting to get a Doodlebug Collection and create a set of cards from one collection for a while now and I found the perfect opportunity with the So Much Pun Collection.

I used several items from this collection and I have not even made a dent in the things I purchased to create these cards. I can easily create at least a dozen more.

Doodlebug Design So Much Pun Collection, 10 cards from 1 kit.

All of the cards were inspired by card sketches that I’ve collected and organized into a binder for easy reference or inspiration.

I utilized doodlepop stickers, icon cardstock stickers and mini icon stickers as well as patterned papers to create these cards.

With so much cuteness, it is difficult to pick just one favorite card for me.

As always any Doodlebug collection is so adorable to work with that it’s easy to create a ton of variety in the cards.

Simon Says Stamp August 2018 Card Kit | 4 cards from 1 kit

Hello everyone,

Today I am sharing several techniques for the four cards I made using the contents of Simon Says Stamp August 2018 Card Kit.

Stamp August 2018 Card Kit called Mandy’s Flowers featuring rainbow watercolored Modern Rose Blooms stamp background card.
Simon Says Stamp August 2018 Card Kit called Mandy’s Flowers featuring single layer card design with the fence stamp and hand drawn flowers.
Simon Says Stamp August 2018 Card Kit called Mandy’s Flowers featuring layered patterned paper with floral image.
Stamp August 2018 Card Kit called Mandy’s Flowers featuring ink blended Modern Rose Blooms background card.

The first card I made incorporates a single image stamp with a patterned paper (happens to be my favorite) from the kit. I layered the patterned paper with a piece of craft cardstock in between to create a very vintage inspired look to this card. The stamped and colored image combined with a simple sentiment on top a piece of vellum completes this card.

Simon Says Stamp August 2018 Card Kit called Mandy’s Flowers featuring layered patterned paper with floral image.

The focus on the second card was a single layer card technique really to showcase the sentiment. I absolutely love the font of that sentiment. The card itself sort of has a watercolor picturesque feel with an inlay design of the card panel.

Simon Says Stamp August 2018 Card Kit called Mandy’s Flowers featuring single layer card design with the fence stamp and hand drawn flowers.

The third card I made incorporates a white heat embossed background of the Modern Rose Blooms stamp with a layer of Tattered Rose Distress Ink. The floral stamp with a sentiment are stamped and white heat embossed onto a piece of vellum which was fussy cut around the edge. Once I layered the focal point panel on top of the ink blended background, I felt as though it was blending in to the background. I never realized that you can color vellum. I only tried using my Copic Markers to go over the vellum but in the future I will use different mediums and see how it results.

Stamp August 2018 Card Kit called Mandy’s Flowers featuring ink blended Modern Rose Blooms background card.

For the fourth card and my favorite, I white heat embossed the background with the Modern Rose Blooms stamp this time onto a piece of watercolor cardstock. I wanted to create a rainbow card for some time and this was the perfect opportunity. Using my Prima Marketing Watercolors, I added all of the colors of the rainbow and finished the card off with a simple sentiment embossed onto a piece of black cardstock. I really wanted the focus to be on the rainbow background and I think I achieved that.

I had a lot of fun creating cards from this kit, I only wish I had more time to create but alas the day of a mom is never done and that’s all for me today! Check out the video link below to see how I created these cards. As always thanks for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!

St. Patrick’s Day cards using Cricut

Hey everyone,

Today I have two little cards that are St. Patrick’s Day inspired. Even though St. Patrick’s Day was two weeks ago, these two little guys were made to be submitted to another bloggers mail call. This will be my first card that I participate with and I think it turned out super cute.

Laprechaun Bear card designed with Cricut DS
Leprechaun Bear card designed with Cricut DS

The first card was created using my Cricut and various Recollections colored paper. The little Leprechaun Teddy Bear comes from Teddy Bear Parade cartridge and was cut at 1.80”x 2.56”. I adhered all of the pieces with tacky glue and popped his on some foam dots for dimension. He is sitting on top of a Squared Loop Design Label from Elegant Edges cartridge.  This piece was cut at 3.06” x 3.74” to make it look more like a rectangle. Using a four leaf clover from Lawn Fawn stamp set called Plan on it: Holidays and leaf green archival ink, I stamped it to design a background of sorts. If I had to do it over again, I think I would have used black ink instead.

In any event, I adhered the frame with foam tape to add a little more dimension to the card. Using lime green card stock I adhered it to an A2 card base, then I adhered a piece of patterned paper cut at 4” x 5.25” to complete the card. The patterned paper is from Recollections Christmas paper pad called Sugar plum.

Since I did not have a St. Patrick’s Day sentiment to stamp, and for some odd reason I specifically wanted the card to read “Lots O’ Luck”, I got a little creative and printed it on cardstock from Microsoft word. And that completes my first St. Patrick’s Day card.

The second card was made using again my Cricut and various Recollections papers. The cute little leaping Leprechaun comes from the Simply Charmed cartridge and was cut at 1.65” x 2.33”.

Using a pearled green Bazzill paper I cut the Scallop Oval label from the Elegant Edges cartridge at 2.48” x 3.18” with a dark green base paper underneath.

The patterned paper come from Authenituque paper pad called Emerald and I used the little clover in a row paper that I adhered to my A2 card base.

The sentiment I used was created using my Cricut machine and 0.4 tip black pen. (My first go at it and I think it turned out pretty good). And then I cut the label from Heritage cartridge.

I adhered all the pieces and added a little green ribbon to add some interest to the card.

I hope you enjoy these two little cards and I will have them listed in the shop for purchase.

Thanks for stopping by, until next time….sprinkle a little creativity on your day!
