Stampendous’ Rose Bouquet Mother’s Day card

Hey everyone,

I’m back this week with a Mother’s Day inspired card being that Mother’s Day in about three weeks away. To get started, I stamped Stampendous’ Rose Bouquet roses, leaves and glass jar on some Spectrum Noir paper. This paper is recommended for alcohol based markers as it allows for ease of blending and minimizes the potential for bleed through. Using my Spectrum Noir markers, I colored all the images and cut them with the coordinating die set.

Here is the list of marker I used

Roses: CR8, DR3, DR5, DR7
Leaves: CG2, CG3, CG4, DG3
Vase: BT1, BT2, IB1, IG1, IG2
Stems: CG2, CG3

Since the bouquet image when assembled was relatively large, I choose to make this card an A7 sized card. I wanted my card to have a frame around the image and since I do not own a die cut in the size I needed, I had to get a little creative. I cut a piece of red cardstock down to 5” by 7”, using Lawn Fawns Stitched Scalloped Borders die, I cut out the middle to create a frame border for my card.

I adhered the image partly flat on the card and partly on foam tape to add dimension. Using Lawn Fawns Happy Happy Happy sentiments and die set, I die cut the scripty “happy” in black cardstock three times and glued it together with multi medium matte.

To complete the card, I embossed the rest of the sentiment with white embossing powder on black cardstock, cut it using a banner die from Lawn Fawn and added a few red sequence pieces, as well as a little shimmer on the roses for a little bling.

That completes this card and I hope you found it inspiring for Mother’s Day.

Stampendous’ Kitty birthday card

Hey everyone,

I’m back with another cute pet inspired card. This week I used Stampendous’ Pop up Kitties stamp and die set to create this super cute birthday card.

I started by stamping the image using Memento black ink and Bristol smooth cardstock. I colored the cute little kitten using my Spectrum Noir Markers.

Here is a list of the markers I used:

Kitten: TN7, TN5 and TN3
Chest fur: IG1 and then I added a little sparkle with the clear glitter Wink of Stella
Bow: IB2, IB1 and IG1.
Eyes: IB2, IB1, IG1.

To add a little interest to the card (and try out a new embossing folder), I inked up the raised image side of the embossing folder with Hero Arts Shadow Ink in the color Tide Pool, so that the color imprints on the cardstock as I ran it through my die cut machine. This technique gives me a beautiful embossed background with a little color to adhere the kitten to.

I cut the embossed panel to 3.75” x 5.5” and adhered it to a piece of teal cardstock cut to 4.25” x 5.5”, so that only a bit of the side edges peeks out. Both of the pieces were then adhered to an A2 white card base.

To complete the card, I used the new Lawn Fawn Bannertastic stamp and die to cut the banner out of the same teal cardstock as the base of the card. The sentiment I used for this card comes from Lawn Fawn’s Meow you doin’ stamp set. I thought it complemented the kitten card very well.

The inside of the card needed a little something, so I added a sentiment from the same Lawn Fawn Meow you doin’ stamp set. It reads, wishing you a pawsome day.

And that completes a very kitten inspired birthday card. As always, I will list the cards for sale in my shop in the very near future.
