Lemon Shortbread Swing Girl | Lil Patch of Crafty Friends | Design Team Project

Lemon Shortbread Swing Girl

Happy Sunday crafty friends! Welcome to the new challenge on the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. This month, we are sponsored by Lemon Shortbread and I chose Swing Girl for my design team project.

I printed the image onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock and colored the scene with Copic Markers. I wanted to create a very summer-inspired scene for this card using bright background colors.

Using a large stitched rectangle die, I die cut the panel to an A2 sized card.

To complete this card, I stamped out the sentiment and heat embossed it, then adhered the card panel to a white card base.

Lemon Shortbread Rainy Days Girl with Umbrella | Lil Patch of Crafty Friends | Design Team Project

Hi everyone and welcome to a new challenge on the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. Our exclusive sponsor for this
month is Lemon Shortbread Digi Stamps and Pages with their unique and beautiful collection of digi stamps. For my card today,
I created a monochromatic with one colored element card featuring Rainy Days Girl with Umbrella.

Lemon Shortbread Rainy Days Girl with Umbrella

I was very inspired to create this card based on a painting I saw somewhere in my early teen life. I tried to search for the original
painting and find the painter’s name but all I found was Parisian images in black and white with red umbrella paintings.

To start this card, I printed the digital image at 4 ¼ by 5 ½ onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb. cardstock. I colored the
image in warm grays with a bold and bright red umbrella.

Copic Color Combination

Skin: W4, W3, W1, W0
Hair: W9, W7, W5, W3
Coat: W9, W7, W5, W3
Undercoat: W2, W1
Boots: W9, W7, W5, W3
Umbrella: R29, R27, R24, R22, R21
Background: W1, W0
Puddles: W5, W3, W1, W0

For the background, I die cut the panel with an A2 sized stitched rectangle die and finished coloring in the background by adding
dots across the background to create some texture.

To finish this card, I stamped out the sentiment with Versamark ink and white heat embossed it onto a piece of black cardstock.
I trimmed the sentiment strip and adhered it using foam tape to the bottom left corner.
