Bugaboo Stamps Pirate Bear | Lil Patch of Crafty Friends | Design Team Project

Good morning everyone and welcome to a new challenge on the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. Our amazing and exclusive sponsor for this month is Bugaboo Stamps with their fun and quirky digital stamps. I used the Pirate Bear Digi stamp to create the pirate-inspired birthday card.

After printing the digital image onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb. cardstock, I used my Copic Markers to color in this little bear and then cut the image with my ScanNCut.

Copic Coloring Combination

Bear: E59, E57, E55, E53, R20, R30
Shirt/Headband: R59, R27, R24, R22, Blender
Eye Patch: C9, C7, C5, C3

The background scene was created by ink blending and layering scenic dies cuts. For the sunset, I die cut a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock using a stitched rectangle die, then applied Distress Ink.

I started with Squeezed Lemonade over the entire panel. Next, I added Spiced Marmalade, Abandoned Coral, and Candied Apple, with each color adding slightly less than the previous. Finally, I used the Ray of Light Stencils and pounced the Squeezed Lemonade across the panel.

To complete my beach scene, I added a die-cut wave, which I ink blended with Peacock Feathers, Antique Linen, and Vintage Photo to finish off the beach hill, and Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Walnut Stain, and Vintage Photo for the palm tree.

To finish this card, I stamped out a sentiment directly onto the panel using dark, black ink to contrast the bright background.
